Thread: Unarmed 4 -> TKN, not so much where to hunt but more what to do
1: speed sliced vk (1.6 or less)
2: adv Ubese (greater than 60% kinetic resist)
2a: adv Composite if going after NPCs
2b: shield generator (when it works) or BEshirt (still wear with armor)with stun/bleed resists for Tuskins
3: unarmed lunge (if the mob is running away) (remove vks first, use macro)
3: intimidate, warcry (warcry doesn't work as the first command most tmies)
4: berserk (specials take too much HAM)
What kind of mobs are good? I'm doing dire cats solo, but I still want to go fatser...
btw- 80% Comp/Full Buffs/1.7 VKs
Yes but the speed advantage still gives you a higher dps over your fists even when uncertified.
I just killed greater desert womp rats, mountain worrts etc on tatooine, they got me to tka novice quite fast.
got it in about 10 hours doing that

By far the QUICKEST, but most dangerous way to do it.
Get a really good set of advanced ubese, or kinetic-layered composite. Get full doctor buffs, and if necessary, dancer/musician buffs. Load up on muon and/or fishak, corellian fried ice cream, and breath of heaven.
Head out to Dathomir and get baz nitch missions. Walk straight up to the lair, and spam unarmed spin attack on the lair. All the bazes will run right up to you, resulting in all of them getting hit by the spin attack. Keep your target on the lair, and never let up on the spin attack unless your mind gets low or you hit a muon downer. If your mind does start to get low, spam peace until your combat queue clears, then simply berserk and auto-attack while your mind regens.
All of this hinges on having the doc buffs and a very good set of kinetic armor. I leveled up to novice TK, and much of TK doing this, and the xp just came rolling in.
It's amazing how many people are tkm's and don't know sheeeeeeeeeet about their profession.
#1 - YES YOU CAN USE VK'S BEFORE YOUR A NOVICE
#2-
"3: intimidate, warcry (warcry doesn't work as the first command most tmies)"
No, no and no. All delay moves you have to have the combat que up before they will work. Which means you HAVE TO attack first THEN use the move. THEN your delay move will ALWAYS fire off.
Actually I think you might be wrong...
Today I walked up to a Rancor and did warcry before it aggroed me (maskscent) and said it was delayed. I then beat it for 10 seconds until it attacked me.
It took me one day to go from novice brawler to tk novice. I started with banthas and cu pa's (since they are not social) until they stopped giving me good xp. I then went to dune lizards and giant sand beetles until they stopped giving good xp. I tried a few dragonets but even with a pet they would get out of hand and start swarming you after a while (nothing like being surrounded by 8 dragonets). After making novice I continued to hunt the sand beetles and lizards until the xp was not worth it and bought myself a good set of armor 73% kinetic resist. I went to the akura (sp) champion cave on Talus and hunted there for a while (they only do melee attacks and drop good loot sometimes). I then headed over to Fort Tusken and the Squill cave to get the rest of my XP. Total time from novice brawler to qualify for TKM - 1 week playing about 5 hours a day.
