Any word on Defence?

does it stack? Doesn't it?

I'm still sort of confused about that... becasue i know it's supposed to change eventually..

Reason i'm asking is, i've held on to the 2 trees in Fencer that relate to defence... is it helping me any? if it is now... will that change?

I'm trying to come up with a finished skill set... and i really really want to know who to work defence into it... but i just don't know what's happening with it...

Can anyone help me out here?

I also need to know this although I went into the fencer line already 3,3,3,3

Meleeskills should stack with other melee skills when using melee skills, no If's, And's, or Hutt's about it : }.

It may be broken or not working correctly but they can not seperate Melee or generic defenses because they wrote them as such. If they do they will be admitting that they lied to us and are going to steal from us.

If they eliminate melee skill stacking wjile using melee skills they might as well delete the master Brawler class since it is based on that fact.

Please ask Jherad to include you on the need to know list about this.

As far as I could tell from patch notes and testing this is how it works.

Say you have both Master Rifleman and master Fencer. Master fencer gives you dodge and Rifleman gives you block. If you have your rifle out, you have a chance of blocking, if youve got your sword, you have a chance of dodging.

Melee defence and ranged defense from the looks of it still stack.

I fought a defense laden TK/Blademaster last night. Defenses still stack. He dodged and I missed and couldn't KD him at all.

I got another question,

While going up the TKA tree, do you get better melee defence, from attacking enemies. So if i was at fort tusken and they whippedout a baton I wouldn't lose as much health because i have good melee defence?

Just for the record...

Generic defenses (ie those that don't appear to be profession specific in the title, eg unarmed toughness) should stack at the moment.

However the jury is still out on whether they will in the future. Much balancing (balancing, not nerfing!) is intended on the various skills, specialsand defenses for the combat revamp, and at the moment, Correspondents do not know what is going to happen.

Once we are told, and are given the all clear to pass things on, I will let you know. Just be aware that we are all continuously screaming for information about the future of the Combat Revamp, and are not hiding anything. Ideas fly back and forth, but as far as we are all concerned, nothing has been set in stone yet. That does not mean you must remain silent however, you can be sure I am gatheringyour concerns/ideas and presenting them.

Jherad you deserve our thanks.

I have been many classes and have seen many corresondents come and go. I must give you credit where credit is due. You "Correspond" very well with this board, always honest and timely.

Its nice toknow that our concerns are presented to the Dev's as it is very important that the players feel that they are listened to.

Thanks again.
