Anyone play this template? I am interested in its strengths and weaknesses. I am interested in only light PvP. And what should i do with my leftover skill points?

well id say the main thing good about that is that knockdown attack and then when they r down using a flamethrower perhaps, but im not 100% sure if u can do tht effectively.

im master both, just kd them and use flame2 when they r down, works like a charm. maybe throw in a unarmed hit 3 if they r still down or another kd

I am trying, but for some reason my defense from TK isnt working when I use a flamethrower. Quenkers were hitting me every attack, but as soon as i equipped VK they missed everytime... not sure what is up with this.

The TKM def mods, will only work with either nothing in your hands, or a VK.

is that new or always been that way.. i can swear i used them to do some other melee professions..

FT's are a rifle class, you get a meleedef reduction for any ranged class rifle getting the worst, then carbines, and pistols get the least....


They messed that up and had forgot to put the "-" in front of the meleedef % number and gave Riflemen/Commando/LLC's a huge meleedef bonus a few patches ago.


Sorry I don't have the exact numbers for the meleedef reductions but they are noticable. ( -25% for rifle class, -15% carbines, -5% for pistols ) for a close example.

I was gonna take that template up until I gave up commando cause it's just way to broken

honestly, commando is a gimped class. if you arent terribly interested in pvp you may be ok, because commando is still fairly good in pve. tkm is hard to use effectively in pvp, you have to really know what you're doing.

Im a master of both. Its ok in pvp and rocks in pvp. The ranged mitigation rocks cuz it works for tka and Commando. THe Tka melee mitigation works well with commando. Im mostly a commando unless I want money then its all tkm. Its nice cuz when you use your flame specials you can un equip your ft and ge the TKM bonuses and take less damage then equip it agian for another special its nice plus the KD/Dizzy then Flame is Cake I tell ya

I was both for a while and found that I pretty much stopped using my Commando skills after a while. So I dropped it in favor of Rifleman. Comperable power and more flexibility.

TKM/Commando sucks in PvP that was my first combo, I rarely used my commando in PvP


at the same time if you are lucky enough to catch a noob with wrong stats even buffed you hit there mind for 1500 and kill thim with burn single 2 in one shot
