Thread: Waht does powerboost do?
PowerBoost is a special action that Teräs Käsi can take once they get to Advanced Meditative Techniques (level 2). Basically the TKA while meditating will do the action. The Mind attribute will immediately be cut in half (although it will begin regenerating). The Health and Action will begin ramping up over the next 60 seconds, each getting a bonus equal to the amount that was cut from mind. After the first 60 seconds, the Mind attribute should return to normal and begin the ramp up itself to the boosted state. Meditation skill affects the length of time that the bonus lasts. Here is the exact formula used:
Duration: 5 min + (meditation skill mod/100 * 5min) give or take 5%
Worth noting: Power Boost does not take into account buffs to your mind pool. It only works off your base natural value. Here is an example for you:
Your health, Action, and Mind pools are all 800.
You begin to meditate and powerboost.
Your mind will then drop to 400.
As your mind slowly starts to refil back to 800, your health and action pools also begin to rise.
When your mind finally fills back up to where it was, it instantly boosts up as well to match your health and action.
The end result is your Health, Action, and mind pools will now be 1200/1200/1200. This will last for around 8 minutes then you start "powering down" and your health/action/mind slowly returns to normal.
You always buff your H/A/M by: (Base Mind Pool)/2. So, in the above example, even if you had drank a brandy before power boosting, you would still only buff your h/a/m by 400.

Yes. All you have to do is meditate, use powerboost, and stand. You will still be buffing your primary stats while standing.
