it's better to wear armor until you get through the power and speed trees. after master, you shouldn't need armor when engaging in PvE because of melee mitigation. but always try to be buffed, especially to your sub stats will help accomodate for ham cost of specials.

Heh!! Laughing at u'r ubese up there not because it is bad but for the fact that u need that stuff while leveling up tka and u go through that stuff pretty quick, went thorugh one set after obatining novice and 0,1,1,2 now on my second set although my first one is not completly gone(another escuse for me to buy stuff) But anyways regarding u'r question yes use ubese while going up tka and at master don't use armor because of the encumb.

Hey,

I currently am about 65k unarmed XP way from Novice TK. After reading up on the TKA, I am really excited to run this profession. I think after all the ones I've tried to date, this one is one I will probably really want to stick with.

I do have a quick question. Armor or No Armor? I would assume that traditionally, a TKA wouldn't wear armor, just like a Jedi wouldn't wear armor. It just doesn't fit their role in the Galaxy. That being said, I would still be capable of wearing Armor. So I am wondering if i should wear armor when i'm out hunting the bigger baddies that I will be facing as i work my way up the TKA skill trees. I currently have a really REALLY nice set of Ubese armor, with a Kinetic SP of 73%, and base protections of 22-25% (note, if you're on the Lowca server, look for Leana, she makes the BEST Ubese armor on the server. haha, cheap plug, hopefully she sees then, then maybe i can get my next armor at a discount

The Encumberance on it isn't too bad, while unbuffed, i can wear the full set of armor minus the gloves. so i'm wondering if the encumberance is a problem when doing TKA. Should i keep using the armor while attacking, or should i lose it so i'm not encumbered as much?
