I'm trying to roleplay a Teras Kasi student but there is one major problem: I have no idea what the Teras Kasi really is. Can someone give me some EU background on this mysterious order?

I recall reading a thread about it. There was a Jedi war on some obscure planet a very long time ago in which many of the inhabitants died, so the few that survived fled from the planet and began to work on a new martial art. They called it Teras Kasi, and their aim was to make sure that nothing like what happened to their planet would ever occur again. This is where the famous "Jedi Hunter" term that a lot of people use for TKA comes from. They meant to keep the Jedi in line, as it was obvious that they were far too powerful if they could devistate an entire planet. The Teras Kasi, unlike the Jedi, focus from power within in contrast to the Jedi using an outside power; the Force.

There was a huge, long thread on these boards that went into a lot of detail, and I probably mixed some of those up, but I believe that is the basic jist of the Teras Kasi Order.

He knew he was as good as gone, but gone was somewhere he really didn't mind going to.
Since his shuttle had crashed, many years had passed, and the pictures of his loved ones that he drew on the walls of the cave
had finally faded.
He put out his smoke, proceeded towards the lake, repeating to himself,
everything beautiful is far away.
