Thread: Mankind ! CoB remove warmup ! Please!

I would like to see the Warmup for CoB to be removed ! if we are to be tanks let us be tanks all the time not just when we have CoB active, can not run from something and iive without stopping and making sure CoB gets turn on by then you can be dead.
Its really my only beef so far for TK's.

I think thats pretty unrealistic. It would make TKM way to powerful in PvP. What should happen though is that TKM should be able to use CoB again in combat if they are not hit. Right now, it seems like if you are in combat, CoB doesnt work regardless if you are hit or not. This way, you could KD, get some room, and have a chance to reapply CoB. But in PvP, if its more than 1 vs 1, you most likely will be fresh out of luck without friends to help out.

My two cents on CoB.
The warm up is fine, and sometimes CoB fails to activate, and I get why. What I would like is for the power to recharge (when it works) and for that recharge to be as long as the power lasts.
In short, I want to auto fire this power so that I don't have to keep my eye on it so much. With it, I survive... without, I'm dead meat. That's my impression at lvl 16 anyway.

I'm currently puting to gether an issues list & it is something I plan on suggesting. It becomes very hard to tank to your best when you currently need to run around a bit for taunt, & then if you run around you cancle CoB charging up, so it is something I plan on suggesting. Probably as an extra function to Improved CoB or something.

This is the only macro I used in pre-CU, now I click it twice to make sure CoB sticks.
Macro Name: Center
/ui action clearqueue;
/centerOfBeing;
/pause 30;
/macro Center
Just remember to stop whatever you're doing when you see the warm up kick on. I'd like to see CoB change, but if it doesn't, I'll try to live with this.

there really doesnt seem to be anything fair in pvpwith melee vs. ranged... i just went through a couple of them, me(tkm, mswords, xx3xpike, xx4xmedic) and the only reason i got smoked is because the timer vs hold of root and/or paralyze,both actually.seems longer than the cooldown/warmup... i literally was rendered helpless once i was rooted and paralyzed... i literally had a ranged profession sit in front of me like a melee (3m)b/c i couldnt do anything... could not move... could not parry, could not CoB... to the point where they pawned me enough to throw grenades to incap me... is this fair? i think not... you still get hit with CoB, so why couldnt you lower the warm up or cooldown of it, or extend the length of it lasting?
couldnt find the link to the person that posted the 45 min pvp of tkm against a ranged... but thats all i could think of during my ordeal vs whatever ranged class he was... i felt like my ogre shadow knight again being rooted, snared and blinded, only to see myself dead when the screen came back up... i couldnt even heal myself when i was paralyzed... if soe wanted to get rid of the melee class, then why didnt they... instead of trying to piss the melee class off by making ranged more powerful...
maybe i'm wrong though... can anyone answer how you can break root and paralyze? when fighting tkm, my melee def is in the 400s, my ranged is around 380...BEclothes and tape enhanced... and since i cant see the move they put on me (only x "hits" y for z damage) i couldnt tell you what move they where doing...
i semi like the CU... there are enough things i like about it to stop me from complaining about pre-CU vs. post CU... but... during pvp... all a tkm can do is lunge, or kd them somehow... hope CoB sticks... armor break... and then do damage... not much more to it then... as long as you're not rooted... AND paralyzed.... was very frustrated... combat balance my @$$...
kind of glad my subscription runs out soon and i didnt preorder ROTW... not going to just up and quit... but finding more and more reasons why i seem to be wasting my money...
