Thread: TKM only useful in groups?

I am a Smuggler and used to have master pistol and TKM with it. After the CU that combination was not possible anymore so I desided to drop master pistol and stay with tkm. Only after a few solo combats I came to the conclusion that the defence is ok butthat TKM got no attack power. The hardest hit I can make is about a small 300. More logical in my opion because why should a unarmed fighter hit harder than someone with a weapon. Only for me (most of the time I like to play solo) TKM is not useful anymore so I took up master pistol again and only leave the TKA 4000 line for heal wounds and the points that are left I spend on some medic.


Are there any TKMers who disagree with my decision and think TKM is still a good solo proffesion which is ideal to combine with Master smuggler?

Hello 2nd Sun,


I am not a master smuggler but a 0,0,4,0 smuggler (plus 4,0,0,0 Scout, master brawlerand MTK). For soloing I usually maskscent root shot a creature, overshot the same creature. I then move back out of the way enough that if my maskscent falls I can not be seen by his friendsand wait. At this point I wait until the mob bagins to charge, CoB, armorbreak, bleed attack (unarmed), dizzy and then use my melee strike as an auto and throw in combos. I have been pretty successful in taking things 4 or 5 levels above me pretty easily. If anything fails during this (a mob sees through Maskscent or I get friends) I just Feign death and start over. I have been pretty happy with it myself.
