BROKE!!!
I dueled a jedi knight twice, one with a full suit of 5654 resistant padded armor. And one with no armor.
He was hitting me when I had armor for about 650 at the most.
When I took off armor I was getting hit for 800 damage average.
Now obviously tkm innate armor is NOT equivilant to 6,000 resistant battle armor hmm?

well i havent done any testing, but i have to say that i am yet to wear any armor since this CU went live, and i have gone up against several high level (78-87) mobs, and i seem to do ok.

^ what they said. I've yet to run into probs wearing no armor at all and just keepin CoB up.

I don't wear armor so I don't know how the bug works exactly.
There is a bug that causes inate armor not to activate when you take armor off.

Check the combat spam if you absorb damage. (Ctrl-O, chat, detailed combat spam on the end of the selections.) I absorb 48% of any damage with innate armor alone.

Works fine for me. I've agro'ed/tank 7 level 82 pickets and survived 2 mins while my group whittled them down.
Some people mentioned that when the CU went live, the Inate armor did not work unless you wore a piece of armor and then removed it (thus activating the inate armor)
Try fighting with no clothes on at all. Perhaps some piece of clothing you are wearing is acting as armor and negating the inate armor.
It's possible that your character is bugged though. That tends to happen in this game.
