I have found that if I use the auto attack, ya know the ctrl-click little check mark,I end up running outta action way to fast. I have come into the habit of turning it off so I can time my moves myself.

To bad it auto pick's 'advanced combo' when I travel form planet to planet.

Nope, I don't use it.

The way this new system works, I want to control every blow... otherwise it could fire while I am trying to get COB to re-apply and I could end up hosing myself.

i use my auto attack as melee hit as i find this to be a good ability that gives u the chance to hit people while u are cooling down to use another move, this can add damage considerably

oh yes....

it all depends on what you use. i personally use melee hit (the most basic). it keeps the damage going while i am waiting for cooldowns/warmups on other specials. its action cost is also less than my regen. therefore i will regen (albeit a little more slowly) while auto-attacking. win-win.

My auto-'attack' is set to CoB. I use whatever skills I want, as default, CoB get 'first shot' if timers are too close... and I'd rather be missed than hit one more time. I'll get another chance to hit if I'm still standing.

yes, i keep the very most basic attack selected as auto hit, same when im using a pistol

No, i have preset combos as macros the do double the work.

i have my regen auto clicked... always forget to hit it... when i need action, all i do is double click with my mouse, or, ijust recently set up my key control to use the "~" button... for a basic melee attack.,.. it seemed a little less than our most basic melee hit in terms of using action, plus hits for about the same

the auto attack for me doesn't allways work...
