I think the template problem is a misconception. your friend may think its awesome but you dont because of they way you like to play.

I know i enjoy the same relative template but mainly because my other char i play alot is master rifle/MBH so i allready enjoy a massive damage template.

Your more ideal template woulda probably been something like TKM with 4000 or 4004 doc and dabble in swords or pikes.

The master doc template sucks for damage but you get a whole spectrum of abilities from large heals to good buff plus resurection.

As for the cob/innate armor problem maybe your bugged i know my toon with 4244 tka Master doc can take damage better than my rifles char with really nice armor. But when in doubt its stim d/bacta shot or a nice bacta infusion for teh win.

its to bad you didnt try a char builder first then you coulda seen the difference up front. Doc skills only add defense so your giving up a whole master profesion worth of skills you could be dabbling into damage.

Besides all that you got no armor to repair and can fight without a weapon so realy if you group hunt alot its a cash cow of sorts. But anyway hope you work something out. My biggest fear on the last day of respec was that i wasnt going to like the proffesion i chose at the last minute. luckily rifles still rocks damage

not correct. It's a known bug. If you equip anyarmor your TIA goes right out the window; better yet: if you equip less than a full suit your TIA will stay "off" even after you unequip the armor.

to "reset" your TIA you need to equip a full set of armor, take a couple shots to the nads from a mob, then unequip the armor and you'll be fine.

Make sure you go to Options -> Chat and activate "verbose combat messages" so you can tell if your armor is working.
