is it better to climb trees one at a time to get higher Combat Level or to learn all teir 1 then teir 2 and so on? currently i am CL 33 and getting HALF the exp I am used to ( was Mrifle/MBH)

Higher CL = more xp. The only useful stuff in thebranchesare the passives (defense/damage/speed/TIA etc), and 3 branches contain various mixes of those so It doesn't matter which ones you go up.
The only active ability in any of the tkm trees that's worth a crap is power boost. level the 2d, 3d or 4th branch to 4, then another then the 3d. pick up PB when you feel like it. Keep your CL as high as you can obviously.
