Hello,

I'm working my way up to TKA. I'm almost at TK Novice. I'm a trandoshen and I was just curious as to any problems that people had with the species and this profession. For example, mind isn't very big so did you have to migrate other stats to mind?

Thanks for any info you can give!

I migrated alot of stats to mind. My Health is 845 for example. I think my mind is now 643 with the 3rd stat maxed (for fast recharging) and the second stat being migrated to nearly as high as i can take it. Ill be lowering my health to around 800 and applying that to secondarirs as well, same as action.

I used to believe in large pools, and didnt think about the secondaries. Now my moves cost less and my HAM charges must faster. I do more damage and have alot less downtime.

I dropped all of Marksman to pick up Novice Medic, best decision i ever made.

There are a couple problems with trandos. The only one that you can't fix with buffs is the fact that you can't wear boots or gloves, which means you can't wear armor in those slots. Many TKAs go without armor anyway, so it's not a huge deal for most.

You get a few extra stat pionts as a trando, but they're absorbed by the high racial minimums in strength and constitution. Furthermore, your max quickness and stamina are pretty low, so you'll have action bar problems associated with chaining specials. However, the Action sub stats can easily be addressed through buffing.

As far as mind goes, I've maxed my mind pool and have enough in mind secondary stats to wear composite armor. Entertainers will soon be able to buff mind stats, so it'll get easier to buff. Muon gold and Grey gabki both help, but the downers are a pain, and the muon gold downer can be fatal if you don't time it properly.

Whatever you do, I recommend you migrate your stats to customize your char. You'll probably take novice medic, so you'll be able to heal your Health and action at the expense of your mind bar. For that reason alone, it's good to have decent mind pool values.

I think that we (Trandoshans) are better suited for brawling. We can move our stats, so thats really not an issue, but we are stronger, and physical fighters by nature. I think you'll be pleased.

Oh yeah... I used Tatooine Sunburns against big game... keeps the action bar full for all the specials you want. Also I have pants and a cloak that have four sockets each. I'm workin on a shirt with four sockets, then I'll buff up my defense with unarm powerups in those sockets. This way armor won't be too big of an issue. That's what I'm workin on now, but I listen to the masters as much as possible. They know from experience... and that is priceless.

Well I was thinking that I would have to change my stats. Just didn't know if anyone had problems because of the change. Thanks for the info so far and would still appreciate as much as I can get.
