That was a joke, he is basically saying that it is mostly better to go manual and use your CoB skill ever 30-45 seconds instead of waiting on a macro to do the job. When you get KD'ed, overaction, move around or "miss" the action on your macro, it essentially makes your macro useless as you have to /dump it and hit the button again.
If you just keep an eye on your buff icons and hit CoB whenever it starts flashing, you will be a lot better off. Unless they make CoB a "Click and Go" kind of action like Force Aura, a CoB macro will probably only hinder your combat.

I dunno. I use it and I like it. If something goes wrong like movement or something, i just hit it manually and the macro pick up from there. Somewhere I saw something about an alarm in the macro to warn you to stand still. That could be interesting.

The marco helps but like everyone says if you move during the start you loss the cof for 30 secs this is death in some cases. I really like the idea of having a marco and the cob icon at the same time that way yes you can hit it manul if youy miss the buff and I miss the buff so much that i got ride of the marco but I am going to try out this idea, thanks.

I have two macros for cob.

The first one is simple,

/dump;

/macro cob

The second one (called cob):

/center;

/pause 40;

/alarmaddin 0 .1 COB REFRESHING, HOLD STILL;

/pause 3;

/macro cob

I put the first macro on my quickbar and hit it when I need cob. If for whatever reason I fail tostand still when the macro is trying to refresh and it doesn't happen, I can just hit the button again and start from scratch. Doesn't work if you have extra macros running, of course, butcob is the only thing I use macros for.

here's what i use. call the macro cob...

/centerofbeing; <-- center of being
/pause 5;
/centerofbeing; <-- sometimes if your moving or whatever, the first one won't work, see the first one
stop and this one WILL work
/pause 42;
/macro cob;

I put this macro my second toolbar and hit it prior to combat, or as soon as combat starts... i put the manual one on my first toolbar so if the macro fails, i can hit the manual one, and not start another macro.

I'm using something like what Riemei posted. The first macro is practicly identical, but I have a /stopfollow before and /follow after /center so I can use my attack+follow macro. Sometimes it messes up, but when it does I just hit it again. Not really a good idea for doing super high level stuff where a few seconds without being centered will cause a death, but it works well for stuff around my clevel.

I thought the NGE couldn't be any worse than the CU, but I was wrong.
