I've watched the state of our profession for a long time. At one time (Pre-Boost) people would applaud our slightly underbalanced skill, as we still managed to survive. then we get +100 base damage or whatever, and a HAM fix, and suddenly everyone has an interest in TKA, oh yeah of course youre not just bandwagoning for FOTM, you truly think tka is interesting! You arent coming so you can pick up a good prof, no no! You like tka! Bull S***

I dont care anymore if we get nerfed, at least the flavor of the monthers leave and we will see who the real tkas are. And this post is not directed at those of you who were pre-boost.. or those who really didnt join because it was suddenly good.

But really, now I am seeing posts of people asking if they can solo krayts, or whats the biggest thing they can solo... you people are the ones who are the MOST OBVIOUS FOTMs. You jump on because its good and you can solo big stuff. Well for YOUR sake, i hope they nerf us so we can see who quits, then bring is back to normal so we can see who comes crawling back to tka on all fours so they can be uber FOTM again.

Getting tired of seeing the "Old Timers" attitude with "I remember the old days when you ran slow up AND down hills. Young whipper snappers... When I was a kid I could use VKs at Novice Brawler, ( starts backpeddling when he realizes what he said, but.. but.. but.. all mobs were 100% kinetic resist... so you needed them.."

When I got this game, I got it while at work, I read the book thru and before I even loaded the game I knew I was going TKA..

I am editing this because I saw the part about "or those who really didnt join because it was suddenly good.".. That first paragraph kinda got me started tho...

hopefully the combat revamp will fix broken professions so battles will be more diverse and require strategy.

I became TKAM 2 weeks before FOTM. People were like wow, I wanna be like you. And I was uh...ok. Well, at least FOTM is rifleman. I am glad all PvP'ers have 80% kinetic armor, now its becomes fun for me

You know, I don't think its an Old-Timer's thing, its a FOTM thing. It gets annoying having everyone against us, and I agree that we should be nerfed, so that the heat can go on some other profession.

Talk about self-destructive behavior. I don't know why you guys get so up in a bind about FOTMs and what not. Sure it is annoying, but you know what you are doing calling for all this "nerf-us-so-only-the-real-TKAs-will-stay" stuff? You are being elitist a-holes.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some of the people who are calling for these nerfs end up quitting when/if we get nerfed. I know I might. Do I consider myself a FOTM? Well, not getting into that, but the reason I would probably quit is because if that profession isn't fun anymore, who in there right mind is going to play it?

True, it's good to be loyal to your profession and stick with it because you like it and hope to see it fixed (I feel for those Pikemen) but calling for nerfs simply because our profession is now the FOTM and you don't like that is just silly. Why deliberately hurt yourself just because we are popular? It's ludicrus, makes no sense, and really does reak of "old-timer"ness and elitism.

How come you sound so bitter? What's wrong with people playing the same profession as you just because you started before they did?

Personally I just started it mainly because I already had the unarmed prereq for smuggler and I wanted to try something different that commando for strong combat.

This isn't a flame, just wondering why it bothers you so much.

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

I started going for TKA when I first brought the game

But I for some reason started entertainer and got sidetracked

so recently I have gotten about half way through TKA but you know what I'm with the original poster

I mean lets get rid of the FOTM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and get back to TKA being TKA's not a bunch of jackasses that picked up the most powerful profession
