Thread: Poll Do we need an anti-kiting skill?
So there's some disagreement on the balance thread over whether or not TKAs (and thereby brawlers in general) need some kind of stick, or mini burstrun, or other kind of skill to catch up with kiters.
I'll say off the bat that if we want this kind of ability, the best way to go about it (politically) will be to request a bonus to our skills, not to request that the speed of ranged users gets reduced (nerf). Nerf calling generally degenerates into a name calling fiasco and accomplishes little.
That being said.
Please vote with a simple yes/no as to whether we should include a request for an anti-kiting skill in our report to the devs.

I don't know.... I guss Yes..
BUT..... Come on guys(and girls):.. We are stilla Melee class! I don't think there is anything wrong with admitting that we are best in PVP(duels) for fighting other brawlers!
It's a fair advantage IMO - Just like that medics can heal themselfs and CHs can use tanks!
But when we talk for PA wars and GCW - I can see your point! Because if you like non combat too and have taken a brawler proffesion as your main combat proffesion - Its not fair, because you cant master three proffesion - Stupid 250 skill points only fault![]()
.... But yes!
No
Burst running to some1 is messed up, cuz if they posture change you, your character tends to "rubberband"
I use unarmedLunge1 myself to catch kiters, 15m range... can't argue with that considering we aren't suppose to hit an enemy from 30m away.
Ranged users should just run slightly slower when firing/carrying a bulky weapon. Or make melee move faster because we don't carry bulky weapons. Or both!
Yes

Yes.
What about Unarmedlunge2?
Doesn't that exist at master Brawler?
Absofreakinglutely! If one more NPC drags me 250m away from his buddies as they kill my group I think I'll go nuts.
Yes.
It does not need to be a skill per se, but some sort of adjustment to give us a chance against ranged kiters.
No. We don't need anything to fight kiting, because it's all about the person in the chair.
The whole "Don't bring a knife to a gun fight" thing tells me that I'm a better strategist, tactician and player than most ranged users out there.. because I succeed in bringing a knife to a gun fight. Let's not level the field by giving every Joe the ability to kill somebody running away from him. That would just give me another advantage, and that wouldn't be fair ![]()
