ok this has been brought up before I'm sure but searching the forums is like trying to find a diamond in a bucket of shattered glass . . . anyhow

As it stands now, TKMs do more damage unarmed that using any (non-quest based) unarmed weapon such as the VK or blast fist. As time progresses and weaponsmiths and smugglers get better (and new tapes/buffs/mods are created) we will still be stuck doing the same damage. Now granted I'm not saying we should do more damage than our roll as tank should provide but . . .

would it be beneficial to us if the weapon damage for TK weapons waslowered . . . and then added to our base damage unarmed. As weaponsmiths/smugglers got better, the overall damage base across of the board would change and we would still be able to somewhat compete.

The arguement of "if you want to do damage, supplement with another proffession" doesn't really cut it. The SP we spend is just as good as the swordmans or rifleman . . . so why doesn't our profession get better when all the others do?

Agree.. I was amazed just now when I was attacking unarmed, switched to my blaster fist and was doing less, then switched to my VK and was doing even less. I just respec'd into TKM and can't believe that unarmed damage doesn't stack with weapons. Pre-CU it did stack with the weapon. The other amazing thing to me is that unarmed has an insanely high SAC compared to TKA weapons. I think they got this all backwards.. Using your fists should have the lower SAC and lower damage. Using a TKA weapon should have thehigher SAC and higher damage. Just seems all unbalanced right now.
