Thread: is adv. combo attack bugged??

So i was out doing a bit of grinding,when i noticed something weird...

teh bug

i was using a 2handed weapon at the time,but that shouldnt really affect things...

so is this a known bug (that will be fixed in 2009 or so) or what?

I think Combo Attack does less damage that Melee Hit, at least when it displays the numbers. I swear though, if you look at the actual health bar, Combo Attack does more damage than the number is shown is saying.



The NGE may be staying, but is SWG?

Multiply the number it shows you by 3 and that's the REAL dmg that Advanced Combo does

fixed link (i hope)

basically my combat log says:

"hits for 135 dmg"
a bols armor absorbed 231 points out of 636 possible points of dmg.."

636-231=405 ...which should be the damage seen in log and floating text,not 135...

It's too underpowered anyway advanced combo attack. Should be pretty powerful seeing as it is a TKM move...but then TKM is too underpowered since CU

The reason for TKM being underpowered is because your unarmed dmg doesn't stack with your melee weapon dmg. A master has +360 to unarmed dmg..


but


When you equip a knuckler... that unarmed dmg is negated since you're not fighting "unarmed".


Whenever (IF, I should say) they fix the stacking where unarmed stacks with your weapon.. TKM's will be massive dmg dealers once again!


As it is right now... My katarn knuckler's max dmg with pup and slice is 889. If my unarmed dmg was stacked on that....

the dmg would be around 1249. You can imagine the whining that will come from Jedi when you start dealing that much dmg to them hehe

Being posative is a god thing...Unfortunately TKM damage is right where its supposed to be. TK weps have lower SAC and TK is designed to be a true tank IE less dmg more taking hits. This is somewhat ofset by picking up swords but none the less TKM is currently "working as intended".


If what you just said happened then Swords which is supposed to be a dmg dealer would deal considerably less dmg than the tank proff. doesnt play out sorry to say.

The biggest problem with us being "tanks" is that the primary job of a tank is to keep agro and hold it while others kill said target. If you, as a tank, do to little damage you can't keep the target on you. Yes, we have taunt but the cooldown on it is so long that you can't rely on it to keep agro.
