I just grinded TKM lastnight with Doc. So after getting TKM, M.Doc and reached lvl 80 I wanted to try it out. So after doing so, I notice I hit for a max of 180 damage, and have no clue why. I hit 180 with no weapon, then 130 with a blaster fist with max damage of 540. Is there something Im missing here or what. I even tried this with armor and no armor.

First off, were you using "combo attack"? That's got a buggy display left over from when it was a multi-pool attack. The amount of damage displayed in the floaty text and in the combat spam (except the part about "out of ## possible") is 1/3rd of what it's actually doing.
The easiest way cou can test it is on a creature lair (before you get the damage multiplier from it being empty). Check it's HP, hit it with combo, then check how much the HP dropped. You'll see something like 200 in the combat spam, but the HP will drop by 600.
Past that, TK isn't really a heavy damage dealing profession. Most TK specials are state / special attacks (dizzy, leg sweep, etc), and recoveries. It's a very defensive profession.

If you look at your character stat list, you will notice that you have a modifier for 'Unarmed Damage' This mod is strickly for unarmed (AKA NO WEAPON).. As you progress up the TK line, your fists become the best weapon you can use, untill you can get ahold of / do the quest for the Katarn Knuckles... Now, the action costs for haveing no weapon is usually higher than just about any weapon... and no idea why.
You can add tapes to unarmed damage, and you will see your damage goes up.
Also, as mentioned, combo attacks damage display is bugged. It is only showing 1/3 of the damage done to you. (anyone outside your group will see you hit 2 times at once.. first being what you see, and the second being 2x that..
so you would see
YOU hit mob for 180 damage.
anyone else sees,
Fantisy hits mob for 180 damage.
Fantisy hits mob for 360 damage

I think there are a few things to note:
TKM is not a high damage profession. That said I am more or less happy with the damage I can do, but I am using properly sliced Knuckles of Katarn. With them I do (off the top of my head as I am not in game) 300-800 dmg, without them I do substantially less. The Knuckles come from a quest on Kashyyk that is fairly difficult I am told (I cheated and bought mine). They and the Necrosis Nightblade are considered the best TK weapons available. If you can get either you are probably going to do much better.
A Blaster Fist is a CL40 weapon, and TK weapons are generally not that good overall, but it may even be that your particular BF is not that good, check the stats on it. The Blaster Fist is intended as a means to help you level up when you are CL40ish, and not as a high end weapon.
What were you fighting? I suggest you test on a even con CL80 mob such as a Bol on Dantooine. Your damage will be reduced against something higher than you based on its CL and Melee Defense (basicallly if your Melee Accuracy is less than its melee defense you will do the minimum damage in your damage range. Not sure how that is calculated for TKM attacks when unarmed, but probably off the sum of your General Melee Accuracy and your Unarmed Accuracy compared with the mob's melee defense).
Also note there are some foods that may substantially help your performance as well:
Crispc - adds +70 to your melee accuracy (and thus potentially increases your damage)
Vegeparsine - adds +100 to your melee defense
Pikatta Pie - adds +55 Dodge
I am just working on TKM/MDoctor myself, and I expect to be someone who whittles a foe down rather than a big damage dealer. If you want to be a big damage dealer I suggest you pick up Master Swords and keep Doctor at 4000 or thereabouts, or explore some other combination that uses Swords or Pike (more AE oriented). This will give you higher damage results and more damaging specials.
Hope that helps in some way.
