Ok, so i want to hunt jedi, but i hate ranged with evry bone in my body. The question i have is TKM's damage abilities comparable to ranged professions? would it be suicide for me to run at a jedi with TKM? anyone ever try it?

Sadly... yes

The best you can do with a master.melee + master.bh is medic 0020 for healing, so including the low melee defense of the hybird, low damage of TK, you're pretty much going to have to resort to long duels with padawans and forget about fighting any other jedi if you try this template.

I've always wanted to do an mbh / melee template as well but right now its just not very feasible.

there was a post just like this a week ago and no matter what anyone says ive been playing MBH TKM for months now, i dont win all the time, but it IS possible to win against full temp jedi, not only do you have awsome suprise on jedi TKM's do more damage in pvp than people think, people seem to forget that players dont ahve 30k life like mobs do, get an awsome slice on a katarn, then get a small crit slice on it with some speed then PUP it with a 35% damage and u can win, use foods like breath of heaven, nuetron pixie, corrilean ale, then get some synth steak and the other damage reduction food, granted you look like your more suped up an enhancers jedi lol but it works,

Anything is possible if you have the will to make it so

But carrying millions of credits in food and stims on you; canape, brandy, vegeparsine (to make up for your low mel def), belil (to make up for the lack of healing), stims stims stims, and finally synthsteak for use in dire situations when you need to heal but are still waiting 30 seconds to use a stim again...

Versus a template that doesn't have to have any of this and actually gets a 'benefit' from using the above listed items on top of their template ...

Is depressing to say the least...

Sounds like a lot of work with more often then not, little return.

but you cant deny the fact that after WORKING for something it feels sooooo sweeeet to get a reward for it, and thats truth and u know it
