Hi! I'm working on a TKA (Well, he'll be novice soon) on Bria. I decided that, since I've always played a Ranged profession, I might want to do a Melee one.

I was originally thinking TKA/Fencer/Swordsman. I figured having a triple-elite Melee would work pretty well. But then I thought to myself... maybe I should go TKA/Doctor/Swordsman. I won't be able to master Doc if I do this, but I could gain some of the healing trees.

So what do you guys think would be more effective in a TKA/Swordsman template... Fencer or Doctor? On one hand, I get more Melee bonuses with Fencer, but I get to heal (and heal others) with Doctor.

What do you guys think?

I had that exact triple mastery template for a short while TKM/Mfencer/Mswords

on paper it looks good but personally i dropped some skills to pick up doctor 4000

i believe the advantages of havinggood healing ability are more beneficial than the added speed or defense that the triple mastery gives you

the devs have nerfed stacking in any way it seems

You guys that gave up the triple mastery template should have tried Ruby Belial. It allows you to stim much faster than normal which sort of offsets the healing problem.

To be honest, I tried the triple mastery during my respec period... I can tank about 10x better with master TK/Doctor. Perhaps it's just my playstyle, but with not being able to stack foods or spice anymore, healing is always a plus. Besides, fighting anything much higher level than you, one stim-d every 30 seconds isn't enough usually.

Remember that CoB's massive bonus practically caps out your defence.

The Triple Mastery, despite how appealing it looks like on the surface, has great weaknesses in defence, surprisingly, and flexibility.

Fencer and Swordsman is the stacking of double offence, which seems rather less beneficial than one would hope. Pike is a integral defensive profession (alongside TK).

Ruby Bliel has nothing on 4XXX Doc. Bacta Shot + Jab can outheal a Stim D, approximately 10 times faster. 1200 in 30 seconds, or 1100 every 3 seconds ? Throw in Bacta Infusion and you'll stay up a lot longer.

Anything involving 4XXX Doc and double Melee mastery gets my vote. I'm TK/Fencer/4XXX Doc myself, and I love it.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'm going to go TKM/MSwords (or Fencer... I'll decide once I can look at the chart again)/4000 Doctor. I like the idea of healing quick, since I expect to be a tank.

TK/Pike/Doc is one of the most popular, if not the most popular Melee template. Tank, and more tank, and some healing. You can take a lot of damage.

The double elite melee plus doc4000 is a great template, I tried both Swordsman and Pike, as well as mixing in more doc skills.

As others mentioned your defensive abilities seem to cap with 2 elite melee professions, and the extra general melee accuracy isn't worth not having any healing abilities.

Right now I'm going for MTK/MCM/Swords 4040. I really like the ability to not need any weapons or armor as MTK, and I'll be able to heal my self, de-buff & apply DOTs to my enimies. 4040 in swords should also give me some better offensive capabilities.. what do you guys think?

I'm a MTK, Master Doctor, Pike 0040 tanking machine with very good heals and I can buff myself also.
