Obviously there are other things that they are working on for the game, but how cool would it be if there were quests leading into the back story of Teras Kasi? Also, I am probably the only one who remembers this, but what about Arden Lynn the Teras Kasi Master from Star Wars:Masters of the Teras Kasi? It would be cool to meet up with her or win her mechanical armpiece asa reward. Just a thought.

Agreed. That would be cool. It could also mix with the idea of TKA robes and stuff. The Tëras Käsi stuff has always interested me.

its not a good idea at all, however enjoyable it would be (i agree, i would love to see it happen) but because its only a "basic" profession, many people will kick up and say stuff like

"how come swordsman doesnt have special clothes and quests" or "why doesnt rifleman have a special quest thread"

.....the only way the could put "quests and robes" in TK, is if they made it like jedi, but quite a bit easier to get, maybe 2 months of doing "melee trials" at a special facility, and when you finish, you start quests to become a master tk, and maybe get given robes and "taught" special moves, as rewards

.....just an idea, feedback is welcome

Wayell...as to the part about a special quest to reach Master for all professions...

Why DON'T they?

Admittedly I'm pleased to finally see an end to all grinding, ALL grinding now that I'm an Ace as well (and don't really give a flip about levelling in the FS trees, not interested in going Jedi), but just grinding for your profs I've never liked to begin with. Some of the Imp Pilot missions were insane, or at least insanely tedious (could they make those ships we escort everywhere go any slower?), but I felt like it was more of an accomplishment to become an Ace than it was to become a TKM or Master Commando (respec'ed into Master Swords, so that doesn't count). And as a pre-CU Master Commando and thus also Master Marksman, that one was a heckuva thing, do the pistol line in Marksman, then the rifles, learn that I absolutely positively hated rifles, then carbines, then finally start in with a lag pistol, then a flamethrower... But as an Imp Pilot, I felt like I'd accomplished a lot more, destroying Rebels everywhere, smashing gunboats, seeing the Corvette explode under my guns after brilliant work by my wingmen (couldn't have done it without 'em!). I did my part for the Empire and earned my rewards by more than just endlessly destroying Rebels (or worse, destroying Quenkers on Dant or squills in the Squill Caves like for much of my ground masteries), I also protected transports, arrested spies, intercepted transmissions, all kinds of things. I'm very proud to call myself a Black Epsilon Ace Pilot.

Why not a special quest to become a TKM, or a Master Swordsman, or a Master Pistoleer, or whatever? I think it could be very cool. Spice it up some with something to sweeten the victory, robes or a uniform (shooter's jacket for Marksman-types, perhaps), a medal, something for the house (sword rack for us Swordsmen?), likely wouldn't have to be anything too terribly useful (not that a knuckler I can actually use and do more damage than my fists alone wouldn't be lovely...ditto a 'master weapon' for my hammer-swinging self that was...oh, I dunno...a SWORD?!). They put in quests to become TKM and Master Swords, even without added bennies, I think I'd drop both masteries if they'd let me just for the sake of doing 'em and getting that feeling of accomplishment. 'Congratulations, you've defeated creature X with your bare hands and saved the Teras Kasi Temple from destruction! You are now a Master of the Teras Kasi art! Now, it's Miller Time.'

But, having professions having their own unique, interesting, fun quests would be a good, fun thing to add to the game! I find it unlikely that this would get added to the game, but it would be a very good thing to add in my opinion.

I think it would be cool iftherewerequests specific to the profession you choose for all, not just TKM. It would give purpose to the occupation after Master. Also, I think it would be cool if I could use the extra Unarmed XP for something other than Jedi. Maybe the XP could go towards something like Prestige points that could be spent to visit TKM exclusive areas or something.

Also, just FYI, but TK is an Elite profession, I would not categorize it as a "basic" profession, though many may treat it as such.
