I'm planning on playing a lot of PvP once I'm a little further in my CL progress, and I'm planning on using the 'ultimate tank' template suggested in our template thread. The question is, are templates without any Doc/Combat Medic in them just asking for it?
And if any of you were wondering, the template calls for:
Master TKM
Master Brawler
Master Pikeman
0340 Swordman
2000 Fencer

If you want a clear example, watch the video I just made a topic for, Duel Buell vol. 1. Yes, heals are essential to all combat. Your ability to take large amounts of damage is nothing if you have no ability to heal up what you lose over time.

Since the CU, there are many templates without even novice medic. While this works for some people, I personally feel naked without strong healing abilities. Its just my playstyle. That is why I created a template based on tkm/doc. With talk about Jedi heals being weakened and traditional healing skills being improved, it only reinforces my beliefs. As it stands, I can get my defenseshigher thanthat of a master defender when necessary, so I cannot see how dumping half my skill points into other melee professions is going to benefit me, especially when losing the impressive healingand buffingabilities from doctor.
