Ive delt with Raph Koster before he was unimpressive... I used to go to Austin when UO was the good game... for Dev luncheons.. he pissed me off with his attitude every time we went...
Rich Vogel from his dev team on UO is here too... these 2 are the ones that raped and pillaged UOS pvp system and class balance if you were not aware... they are the ones that drove the power gamer crowd to EQ and AC..

Yea! I love all them asskissers that just line right up to give a little kiss and suck. Those that do such a thing obviously are not far enough advanced into the trees to see how he/they are ruining the game. They have about 2 more months to prove they are worthy of my monthly fee or me and my guild will be leaving. We have an advantage we leveled most of the way early. The new comers are totally screwed. Months to lvl easy... Nice one Raph.

I do know for sure though, I will make sure that he is not on the team of the next game i play. I dont know where this guy gets off doing these things but removing the fun from a game to turn it into a headache/job is not my idea of fun.
Can you imagine, the player cites being added so now you have to pay an assload of taxes each day to keep it up. MIssions very hard to do alone, its another 8hr job...
Way to go Raph, its easy to hide behind the Star Wars name to rake in the cash, its another thing to remove the splash of SW from the game and see if you can hold the same amount of people, which you know you wouldnt.....
Yea I knew him way back during the developement of uo. He was designer dragon thenandhe wasnt so arrogant. He was in irc almost every night and he posted on Andrews site all the time(origin didnt have message boards it was all handled by beta testers). Anyway almost all the great ideas in uo: crafters, player housing, ect came from players, not from the design team as they would have you believe. They where mostly concerned as whether they could actually make the whole thing run. The combat and magic system and most of the game content was lifted directly from ultima 7.The Dev team for uo relied heavily on the ultima player community to put the whole thing together. UO was really fun in the beginning despite all thebugs and there where many, much more than there has been in swg. Thats where I think the dev team has lost its focus, swg should be fun. Koster methodology is much different now, he and the sony team dont communicate with the players at all and personally I think thats what made UO work.
Very good point. If this didn't have the star wars name on it i wouldn't even be giving it a chance to get fixed.
