Thread: The Nerf Bat Cometh
Learn your strong points in your favored class is my opinion to be stronger.
If you cant handle fighting a TKM, then dont get within
25m(to be safe).
So true...
All I know, based on being an MCH, is that when complaints get real loud the nerf hammer seems to fall.
Another thing you could add to the list of things to do:
8) All TKA Masters should start purposly loosing battles in PvP so that the other professions think they are stronger
LOL
I /agree with the original poster.
I am on temporary rest from TKA, doing the hologrind, but once a TKAM , always a TKAM. It was my love b4 the game was ever released.
What drew attention to the imbalance? Not the forums...Just a simple profession tracker.
When 20% of the active players are TKA novices the profession will be "balanced"
This statement makes a lot of sense.
I wish we could see some statistics, such as the % of players with TKA 4-0-0-0 or 4-3-0-4.
It really makes me wonder if we will get nerfed (power reduction) or will they redistribute the mods in the skill trees (moving certain things to master, etc.). They may not do anything untill the combat revamp is complete (months and months away).
Meditate alone is worth adding to any combat template and 4-3-0-4 just grabs all the other available skill mods. The vast majority of stackers on my server have at least mediate 4, be they rifleman, pistoleers, or bralwer classes...
Percentages arent gonna say much due to the fact alot of people have TK due to holocrons...seems to be a popular holo profession.
Really I wonder how many are on the way to TKM due to the stupid little boxes, I know several myself.
Good point about the holo grinders factoring into the profession tracker...
One thing to keep in mind is the holocrons are truely random. At any given time you would have a the certain percentage of the active population evenly spread between all the professions as grinders.
Any profession that takes more time to grind than average would have an increased number of players with the novice box.
A simple way for the devs to offset the profession tracker to adjust for holocron players is to reduce the total active number of players in each profession by say 20%....
Your still left with a sitituation where if a combat profession has a higher % of players, action or review to find out way there is an imbalance.
For every TKA holcron grinder there is a corresponding rifleman, carbineer, etc.
Trust me though....this is how professions get "balanced" (read nerf)...the devs simple track the profession novice and master each month to determine which is the most powerful.
Done with Pistoleer KD, Creature Handler multiple pets and resists, Combat Medics Range effectiveness, multiple novices for stacking dots...ie commando and pistoleer novices ........
I could keep going but I think you get the picture.
The devs dont read 5000 posts to decide what to balance.....profession trackers my friends profession trackers![]()
