Thread: Question about Advanced componenets for VK's

Tried doing a couple of searches on the boards but couldnt find a clear answer. What are the advanced (loot dropped) componenets that can be used in VK's, what drops the componenets and what would be good modifiers on these componenets?

I was told Nym "vibro units" but some are crap but the ones that add dammage are good. They are supposed to drop from all sorts of gaurds but I have not found any and no one I know has found one in a very long time.
This games loot system is broken, lame, sucks etc.

What you are looking for are Vibro Motors. These are enhancements added to Vibro Blade Units.
The majority of these enhancements adds a +30 to the dmg of the vk.
"Nym Elite Guards" drop them... not just any guard.... but "Nym Elite Guard".
I've also heard krayt dragons drop thoe motors too. And not only that but they are far superior to anything else...... IF you can get one.... They are extremely rare I would imagine. More so than krayt pearls even.

I took Nym npc missions a few hours yesterday and today. Looted 5 motors the + 20 damage type and 4 that were +5 to wounds.
Also about 9 high powered energy capacitors +20 to ranged weapon , not sure if those are worth anything though.
Now I need to find a trustworthy master weaponsmith on Ahazi.

general rule when pricing the energy caps is 1k per point of dmg, charge a premium on anything over 24dmg as those are very rare.
these components drop from all types of nym npcs not just gaurds like the guy above said. in fact i have gotten more from droidekas than anything else. they typically drop in sets of 2-4 in damage from 20-30 tho they can be higher but not lower than 20 on the high speed motors.
there are 2 types of these motors that drop, vibro motors, highspeed vibro motors, and vibro blade motors. vibro blades are for pikemen, the rest are for us. vibro motors suck high speed vibro motors are worth a lot.
you can get the high power energy caps and also high velocity feed mechanisms from the same guys. the energy caps are worth more than the feed mechs because it takes more of them to make a pistol.
