Thread: Is a backpack armor ?

Was reading a thread somewhere that said that backpack are considered armor, is this true ?

My toon is wearing one and it may be affecting my innate armor

Uh, well I've been killing krayts wearing a backpack, so I'd venture to say no, it's not armor and it's not effecting my innate.

What type of backpack are you wearing, Iawo? I'd like to know so that I can go out and buy one. I just got TKM last night and I am now working on Master Swordsman and Doctor 4xxx. Let me know, please?

Right now I'm just wearing the run of the mill brown ranger style backpack. I've thought about getting one of those spec ops packs with the skill mods on it... but I haven't as of yet. Are you wearing one of those?

I don't have a backpack yet. I plan on going out and getting one soon, though. What's the difference between the regular backpack and the spec-ops backpack?

I wear a spec-ops pack, it is not considered armor.

There are certain spec ops backpacks made from a schematic that have minor defense mods, something like +4. They are kind of expensive, so don't worry about hunting one of those up until you have a full set of bio clothes first. As far as that goes, I don't even remember the exact stats, and if they even work post-CU.

I have a marine armor backpack... I forsee problems with this backpack.
