I'm thinking about buying a few unarmed speed clothing attachments.
I use Katarn Knuckles, so I will be "armed" when I fight.
Does the speed mods on clothing attachments still affect my speed if I'am using TK weapons, such as the Katarn Knuckles ?

Paul, some people I've talked to said that the unarmed weapons don't stack with mods from CA's. I don't want to spend millions of my credits on a +25 unarmed speed CA if it only works if I'm using my fists. I'm just looking for some verification from some players who use unarmed weapons, and have tested TK mods from CA's, and verified that they do indeed work. Also, I bought a +15 unarmed damage ca, and it made no different with my damage, people told me this was because I'm a TKM, and the damage cap is at 345, and then others told me this is because the +15 damage from the CA only affects my damage when I use my fists only, and no TK weapons.

Okay, thanks for the response.
I'm going to cross my fingers, and buy that clothing attachment, and hopefully it will work.
Thanks all.

That's the correct part, the Unarmed Damage mod has no effect if you wield a weapon. The damage on the weapon replaces the damage you have on your fists. There is no cap of +345 for a TK, because as a TKM/MBrawler you'll have +360, as a Trandoshan TKM/MBrawler you'll have +375, and those both do more damage with their fists than a pure TKM.
I haven't tested them myself, but by all I've read and heard Unarmed Speed and Unarmed Defense should still apply with a weapon.

Unarmed defense and speed both work with an "unarmed" weapon, but I don't knowif CA's are working or not. Unarmed damage bio shirts seem to be working now without a weapon, but I haven't done any numbers comparison to be sure.
I didn't think tocheck if the modified DPS changed when equipped on the necrosis nightblade I sliced for a guy. If I get one for myself I'll remember to check that out.

There's an easy test for you. Go to your local tailor and have her make you pants / shirt with a +17 unarmed damage on each of them. That will give you a +34 unarmed damage and cost you about 30K. See if you have an increase when using your Katarn knuckles. If there is... then we know that the mods will work with a weapon. Just remember to come back and let us know!

Unarmed DAMAGE does NOT work with any sort of weapon equipped. He's wondering about speed. Speed *should* work.

That's good to hear. That makes me even more sure that I want a necrosis nightblade instead of a Katarn.
