Just came back after playing for about 4 months, the registration date to the left should tell ya how long ago that was lol.

My template now is all over the place and I can't figure out what the hell to do.

Master Brawler

Master Swords

TKA 1-3-2-1

Scout 4-0-4-0

Marksman 0-0-0-4

The marksman will be first to go, I only have it for the +25 ranged def, and +10 melee def.

The scout is for terrain nav, and to make cash chopping up critters.

Thinking the final template would be MTKA, MS, and MB, leaving 47 points left over. I was pondering some healing, but wondering if I should keep some scout and marks for defense.

I got some colthes I found on a vendor that add some to defense and to unarmed attacks, that have sockets, but being poor I can't do a whole lot with that yet. I saw there was a +25 cap to what you can add, is that per piece or for the whole suit, and am I screwing myself because I'd be overcapping the total caps?

I heard about people using styles from different melee lines with unarmed weapons, does it work? Just seems odd to be using a style designed for a sword with some brass knucks.

Thanks for the help, I'll prolly have more questions later when I finish the coffee

Firstly I'm assuming your Combat Level is pretty low so I'd recommend getting 2 elite profs mastered to get it up to 80

Yes you can use any special move as long as the weapon you're holding is a melee weapon (weird I know)

Get rid of scout I'd say, you can buy clothes with good terrain neg stats these days, and marksman.

If you want to pve I'd say the brawler/tk/sword template is pretty sound and put the rest of the points into medic or something.

For pvp I'd suggest getting doc4000 for heals so that would leave you enough pts to master tk and swords. This will let you pve too since you can take/give a lot of damage and keep healing well too

I'm a bit rusty on CA stats but you can wear over the cap but only the first 25 pts will count.

Hope this helps a little, and if anyone else can shed some more light on this then please feel free to chip in

I have a similar temp. I'm going for Master Swordsman for the damage you can do with either the Power Hammer or the N-K Executer. I got TKM for TIA and the ability to use the Katarn Knucklers. I also will get some skills in Doctor for heals or I might go for the buffs because I can heal wounds through meditation as a TKM with modded clothing and skill tapes. Is it true that Mastering two elite professions puts you at CL80? If so, I should be a CL80 over this coming weekend. I already mastered TKA and have 2-2-1-2 in Swordsman. A few hours in a good hunting group and I'll have the xp I need to master Swordsman. Then, I'll concentrate on one tree in Doctor.

dont need 2 elites for lvl 80.

i say drop marks cause 0100 cob gives you +500 defense, so +25 dont matter
