I just made TKM last night and I was wondering if there is an advantage to using bare hands at TKM? I overheard two TKM talking at a starport a while back in Coronet and they said they never use VK anymore unless they need armor piercing. It's an interesting idea but I don't know how true it is.

I have only been doing TKA for about a month now, but I notice much more damage when I use VK over not using them.

I believe the main problem was the huge cost of Unarmed Hit 3 to the HAM...now with Vag. Canape and Vasarian Brandy I find I can use VKs more...

Ask your WS to build you low ham VKS, if you have HAM troubles u will love them

There is no excuse to not use them unless you are not buffed, migrate all you pts to the mind, a human can be 1100/950/950 , pay for buffs and always use VK's. if the target has no armor you get a small damage bonus for using an ap1 weapon.

Ever tried to kill an enraged ranc barehanded? I forgot to put on my vk's while doing this once, it takes bloody ages, once i realised i put them back on and the damage difference is huge.

I don't go up against enraged rancors casually, nor without buffs.

I don't use them if I can help it. Getting doctorbuffs and food is too much of a hassle for the casual destroy mission. On harder, especially armored targets they are a must though.
