I suspect this smith made the vk's using a loot drop item that is called 'featherweight vibro unit'. I looted a few of these off some tuskens the other day. I ran them by my weaponsmith friend and the stats were mediocre compared to the crafted units that these replace. I think the only difference is that the ham costs and accuracy might be a little better than the regular crafted versions. Not totally sure on that though.

Or could be that the Weaponsmith wanted to try something out to see if it would sell. I know an Architect friend that will occasionally put something up for a much higher price that is specially named, no different other than the name, just to see if it will sell.

I have seen these "Featherweight" VKs and they dont seem very good.
They were 2.0 speed, 47-139 damage. The speed is alright, but higher up TKs will cap their speed anyways. The worst part was the HAM costs on these... around 45/56/45. Awful.
Maybe these weren't experimented up very well, but from what I have seen, featherweights are useless.

I have my few favorite shops depending on where I am at the time, to buy VB's sliced or unsliced, ranging in prices from 8K-11K, speeds of 1.7 - 2.2 and of varying damage. The other day I go into one of them, and they have listed a "featherweight" VB, stats not much different than the previous ones, for 40K. The weaponsmith has not been on to ask "why??", does anyone have an answer?
