Can I solo a GDK or will I need some help?

Honestly, why not just try? I'm not attempting to sound as though I am patronizing or being rude, but why not just go out and try?

It is always best to assume you will need help, just as a general rule of thumb.

Great advice... the answer is yes, you can. However, I would add... the question may be better phrased, "Given me and my abilities, templates and time am I able to solo a GDK." To that Ryutek's advice become a universal prescription of action.

I have solo'd GDK's and I'm extremely happy with the results...I made 14 million off 8 GDK's that fell from it. Granted it took a little while (20 min or so) but I did it without any troubles.

Id recommend using a Flamethrower if you plan on taking a GDK. They'll burn to a toasty lizzard dish in about 5minutes

If your a swordsman you can solo anything in the game.

I solo'ed one with only TK/Doc, mind and HAM buffs, and some composite.

Actually made me feel kinda disgusting after the deed was done, just shouldn't be able to.

any elite prof can solo a GDK....I even did it as MBH without any other combat skills...

and I love the fact that people think MSW is the best solo'ing prof when commando's can take out any high level mob MUCH faster (well...those 15% blast protection NS might be the one exception)
