Thread: janta rock shapers invincable ??

hi guys i'm tk 3-3-4-3, i went to the janta stronhold last night and came up against a janta rock shaper, i hit him with mind poisen warcried, dizzied, knock him down then stamped all over him, but i could only get his mind down to 1/1300~ish, i was hitting for all it was worth he took mind damage but it didn't make the slightest difference.
is this a bug or are they meant to be invincable or am i so cack i just need to stay away from them ?????????

As the above poster said they are 100% to kinetic so as a TK you can't hurt them.
Also though the reason your poision didn't kill it either is as theres a modifer againest poisions that is +1 in that from a poision alone you cannot die, the best thing to do if you have no other damage type & insist on been there solo is to poision him as you did, but take a CDEF Pistol, once he is down to 1/XXXX shoot him insted, one or two shots & he should drop.

Also a nice little trick is to callones at-st(blast damage) set him to guard you and then just tank for it. Takes a while but it works

but surely if you poison his health and he is taking damage to his health his resists should drop just like an NS elder

Not sure that would work either, if it's the MOB I am thinking about then I ran into one as a master swordsman/pikeman.

100% electricity res.
So basically I was SOL as I don't have the NS energy lance.

If I remember correctly they are vulnerable to energy attacks.
I believe I killed one as a novice marksman with a DH-17 carbine.

Yea, I ran into one of those there at my first trip the cave many months ago. I did not take the time to look him over first (/examine is your friend). After pounding on himwith little effect I realized something was wrong. When I saw he was 100% kin res, I ran away (burst run is also your friend).
I love TKM and other than fencer for a few defensive bonus's, its my only combat skill. The price of running into a few 100% kin res beasties on occasion is more than balanced out by having fun witha combat class thats not broken or unbalanced.

This is correct..... I ran into one of these also shortly after I dropped rifleman, and mastered TK.... let me tell you the sadness I felt since I couldn't do dink to this MOB. But the sadness didn't last very long... cheers.
