hmm

we still need:

1) a /stick command...once i get to someone, unless they do a posturechange or knockdown, i should stay with them

2) a way to participate in high lvl pve...ranged people get to go fight krayts and jedis...i would like to too

I completely agree. When I told my PA that I was going TKA, they gave me alot of flak saying that they read that TKAs can't solo blues, much less whites (wonder where they read that....)

I can EASILY solo whites. With Blues I just run up to the nest and smack it once to agro everything to me. Nothing feels better then taking out 4-5 blues at a time with 80% of your HAM bar left.

Nice to see that some others are in the same place I am about our awesome profession.

Of course some way to stay on our target (/stick) or keep our target from running away (temporary running speed debuff) would be nice, but alltogether I am happy!

See my post "Let them Kite" for a meaningful discussion of the latter:

I think the profession is very solid - I think the KD changes were a bummer, but overall GOOD for the game, because ranged KDs and ranged PC moves were ridiculous. I also think that the cost of the KD timer was worth the benefit of a huge increase in damage and some bonuses to toughness (stop me if I'm wrong on that one -- I just know I love the new damange)

I think our class is shaping up pretty nicing - I think there are still some overall problems in the game that still need worked out, and those solutions will affect is - either positively or negatively.

Not to put a damper on our high DPS but at Master Pikeman and Heavyswordsman with a good sliced weapon do much more and just as fast. I've fought alongside a MPM and he hit when I hit and always for a lot more

Yup, in a sense the fastest initial chars get screwed because we hit the cap easily and do not get as much of a bonus out of our speed. A Rifleman for example with all their speed bonuses can significantly drop the speed on their rifle shots, granting him a larger % speed increase.

Anyone with no clue can say we're fine. Simply saying it doesn't make it so. Yeah, I am a terror in PvP at the moment. One on one you'd best seriously watch yourself, unless you're a BH . That said, most of the people I encounter are NOT Masters of their combat profession, so it makes sense that I would clean their clocks. We were one of the easiest professions to level up pre-knockdown nerfs, so you will see a ton more TKM's and Master CH's as opposed to the other professions. So keep that in mind when you are hooting about how good we are.

I had an Expert Commando chasing me around using some form of explosive weapon on me (I'm assuming it's grenades but I don't know). He landed about 1 in 20 as he kited me around, which is why I think it was grenades, but whatever. He kited me for a good distance, but at some point he had to angle to avoid a structure. That's when I angled diagonally to cut him off, lunged and managed to get a dizzy / knockdown on him.

Does this mean I should suddenly think, "Wow hey my class is ok after all!". Not really. I do not think I would have survived long enough had this person been a master of their combat profession. I was actually just messing around attacking somebody's faction base. Not to offend them, but they were barely scratching me, and it took 4-5 of them to eventually drop me, and that was mainly becauseI ran out of stims outside the crate I carry. These are not good examples of PvP. I'd love to hear a story of a TK taking out a Master Pistoleer or BH, or hell any prepared ranged class. We can thrive amid chaos, but against any coordinated defense we are hosed.

I finally made Master on Sunday, and I shell out incredible amounts of pain. I fully expect that, after some more rounds of 'balancing' other professions, TKA will be toned down a little. I have NEVER had a problem with our survivability. There will ALWAYS be people who cry about their character day in and day out. For those of you who understand what you are doing and don't jump on the chicken little bandwagon, I salute you. I can kill several people at a stretch in PvP. I probably killed and deathblowed 20 people yesterday with about 4-5 deaths of my own.

I totally agree, most of our "issues" now are general game issues, and not with our profession specifically.

I'm with y'all. There are problems with the game, but we're pretty much set. I don't like the KD timer, but it's only made me a stronger fighter. We're still one of the highest damage per second classes, I just can't wait till my wife hits master.. I wanna stop running from arachne warriors

A couple of weeks/days ago I would have disagreed with you.

But, call me silly, I never considered that I am simply a TKA novice. Now that I am gaining skills and expeirence in combat I am having all kinds of fun.

I haven't really tried PvP lateley because I want to way until I am at least halfway through with all TKA skills before I do.

Well when we did have the knockdown i could kill two pikets solo in a row before resting cuz of the amount it cost in ham and when they put that timer on it i thought i was really messed up but since that happend i have found new ways to deal with them witch is better then the kd. I dont even use it once now and i can solo 5 pikets in a row befor haveing to rest and if i wanted i could take down two in a row in about 20 sec befor resting but thats unarmed3... and on the pvp thing since im a doc i get my h/a to 2k and sec to 1.5k so my specials never cost anything really and i just take some spice to get my mind up to 2.7k lol befor they nerfed kd i didnt even know i had skills to lower dmg done to me by 75% easy so to me i think that the tka is very good as is... only think is the /stick is good idea cuz when we do catch them we should have the upper hand and i think that would solve alot of the pvp problems
