I haven't tried PvP yet, and I'm a Master Scout who mostly solos, so I mostly take on creatures. Going from unarmed master using a lot of specials, to TKA Novice (yay me!) using some nice VKs and almost no specials, I have noticed a GIGANTIC improvement.

Before, a womp rat (white con) was a 100% win chance assuming I started out at full health, and maybe rifled him until he got within range. However, I would be taken down 50% or so in health and it was a slow battle.

Now, against the same womp rat (still white con), I can run up (no rifle) and take him out in just a few seconds, taking only minimal damage, without any specials. If I throw in one unarmed 2 hit it gets uglier for the critter. In fact last night I took out 3 womp rats and a mutant womp rat using just one stim pack, with them all in melee range baffing me the whole time.

I realize ranged defense and PvP is a problem, but in my little scouting world, my impression is that I am now totally uber. So I am getting a lot of enjoyment out of the profession versus when I was just a Student.
