Thread: TKM or Master Fencer? Which is better for offense,PvE and PvP?

Hi there,out of curiousity, which profisoverrall better in foffense both for PvP and PvE? Thanks.

I think fencer may be better in pvp but a combo tk / fencer would jsut be nasty....

To a good player a Fencer is virtually useless.. With 38% stun and a PSG sliced for effectiveness, they do hardly any damage.
I prefer TKM, as i can add many states (including stun which is so underestimated) and KD v easily. Aswell as Targetting the mind pool, FoW/PB/remove Disease/poison etc etc.. It goes on
In the end the choice is yours what you enjoy most. GL

I would have to say TK over Fencer. I wasovert in Bestine Capitolthis morning and came across this buffed guy sporting a master Fencer title and toting a rifle. I was unbuffed and died quickly. But I cloned, meditated away my wounds, buffed myself, power boosted, drank a brandy and was back in Bestine capitol in less than 4 minutes. Talked to the recruiter beside the capitol and went overt and then totally owned the fencer.
I was unarmored and wasn't wearing VK's and I used my state attacks (mainly stun, dizzy, intimidate, KD) and then just threw down Unarmed Combo 2. After I knocked him down, he managed to get to his feet once and ran about 15m before I killed him. I never even took another swig of brandy or ate my canapes.
Note the benefits of TK in the above story. Primarily meditation of wounds, power boost, state attacks, and unarmed combo 2.

oh yeah, FoW baby. I was in a friendly duel the other day with a guy that was grouped, we were both unbuffed. I incapped him, but my HAM bars were at maybe 30% when he went down. I was just waiting for him to stand up and his group member suddenly healed him and he's attacking me. I went down, but he was standing there with nearly white HAM bars. I FoW immediately and do KD2 and incap him in less than 2 seconds from when he Incapped me. I get a tell in a few seconds saying "**edit** happened?" So I told him "Force of Will baby!!" 
FoW has saved my butt SOOOO many times.

as a 3 time master of TK and a 1 time master of Fencer,I disagree big time with the posts above. My Master Fencer is no stacked with any other combat professions, and Ibeat any TK outright. First off, the KD? I don't know about you butI'vetesting with TKM'sspamming KD2 on me with no lands, not only that they would miss half the time.
Using my TKM / Master Brawler / Master Pike toon, I have to stunthe crud out of fencersjust to land some goodhits.The good thing about tk is the Pool Attacks, Headhit is worth its weight in gold.

still think master TKA for offense, no doubt that fencer is the defense king.

Since you asked about PVE and PVP id say for PVE TKM unles youve got a good baton and gaffi (of the Acklay type) in PVP un armored its definitely a fair fight and will come down to skill and luck (till you throw in the 500+ dmamge gaffi or stun baton). Armored welljust depepnds on weather the stunarmor psg is around, the last TKMI dueled we fought unarmored and armored I won both times but honesly he damn near hd me unarmored and never had me worried armored.
Now since Im a doc I dont need to worry about meditate so that isnt a consideration. I know people who will say fencer and I know people who will say TKM id say try them both see wich one you like more.
