This seems to be a fairly popular combination. I am starting to wonder why. I have chosen to go this way, becuase I enjoy both professions, but from a stricly practical standpoint, why go this way? One of the big perks of TKA is meditate. You can heal your own wounds, with no medicine. So maybe a practical person, would pick up Novice Medic to use Stim Bs, but unless they actually like the healing and crafting of the Doctor profession, I would think there would be more efficient ways to spend skill points, than this combination.

Any thought ? Thanks.

I am a master doctor and 0/3/4/2 TKa right now and loving it.

Being able to buff yourself is a huge advantage. You can basically max out your mind/focus/willpower due to the fact that you can buff everything else(make sure you keep your secondary stats high enough to wear your armor though)

Heal yourself insane amounts as well with your Stim D's and E's

you can'r go wrong, plus you can still have enough points left over to get 2/0/1/0 in scout or Entertainer

Master doctor isn't needed. 0/4/4/4 is all you need, really.

To use the best Enhance paks ( D ) you only need 0 2 3 0 in Doctor.

Also I would prefer to be Doctor / TK than Musician / TK because there are usually more entertainers out there and getting a mind buff costs WAY less than getting your 6 stats buffed by a doctor.

what do you need if you want res and max stim but dont care about making them.

and does not being master affect how good ( powerfull) your buffs are like in time or amount of points granted?

I am a Master Doctor (for second time), Iuse the role more as a combat support medic than sitting in a med centre. Basically you can revive fallen team members, and keep them in good health during combat. After combat you can get them healed up fast, so you can all get back into battle faster.

I am also a Master TKA, for me this works really well with how I use Master Doctor. All the melee skills and defenses you gain in TKA, allow you to go into the middle of the combat zone and heal / revive players and have enough close combat skills to remove any annoyances that get in your way.

There are disadvantages with this configuration, you basically end up with none or very little ranged combat skills, which can put you at a slight disadvantage. You have no bleed shots, no ranged knockdown, all combat moves are really close combat, so you can get outnumbered fast if you miscalculate the enemy.

'Force of will', till it seems to of broke in the big patch, was an excellent skill, as if you did get incapped most of the time you could stand, run and heal up and go back in and revive and heal the fallen members of the team. Meditate allows you to heal all your own wounds fast, basically when you sit to regen your mind pool.

The buffs are also a benefit to you and your team, plus powerboost can boost them a bit more.

I personally like the configuration like this, but as mentioned before you can be at a severe disadvantage against multiple ranged users, especially if they are skilled and armoured.

For revive you need wound treatment 4, plus as much in doc knowledge as you can get. The higher the doc knowledge the higher your med use, so the higher meds you can use.

All wound packs, stimpacks, revive kits etc can be found on either bazzar or vendors, most for reasonable costs.

I have recently developed a strange interest in the melee aspectes of this game, possibly because i up to this point only have tried out ranged combat. For a rifleman, close up mobs=bad.

Anyway, i have recently started up a brawler, and jump in on this tread with my questions: Would you guys recomend to master the doc profession? Or would it be sufficient with one or two or three skilltrees (to get the buffs, mainly)?

And question 2: are there some consensus on which branch to go for firstamong the TKA trees?

Cheers

I'm Zabrak, and started out as a Master Doc. I migrated all of my stats so that all 3 Mind Pools were maxxed out, as well as my other 4 secondaries. I'm always buffed when fighting.

Seems to work well for me.

I am a TKA Novice right now, working on getting my first skill, and I am a medic 2/1/1/3. I didn't used to duel because what good is an Image Designer or Tailor going to do in dueling, but since I have become a TKA I have started, and 80% of the time the person tells me that I cheat in duels, and should not heal because it is unfair, but the other 20% say that I have a good template. On the part of dueling, do any of you consider unfair to heal in the middle of it?

If you say your gonna heal then its fine and even if you don't i think its fair because you spent Skill Points to make yourself a better healer and should be able to use it. But you should always say if your gonna heal or not before a duel.
