I want to be a self-sufficiant tkm.

I want to make and apply my own buffs.

I want to be able to get everything I need to make those buffs including any resources needed to make any tools that are needed to make the buffs.

The TKM part I know.

So far I know that I will have to be a Master Medic and a Master Doctor.
What else ?

Whenever there is a Doctor doing buffs at the starport there is always a droid near him. I guess this is a surgery droid. Guess I am gonna need one of them also but I think I can buy one rather then learn to make one. Are there different droids that serve this purpose ? What's the diff between them ? If I buy a really good one will I be able to use it right away ? I also understand that having one allows me to do DR stuff away from a hospital, that right ?

I have read lots of stuff, just having a problem assimilating it.

Will everything I want to do fit on one char ?

Get a droid with a high med rating that allows you to buff outside of hospitals and what not. You can go Master TKM and Master Doc with enought points in it to take up Survey 1 so you can look for your own resources. Of course you could also just buy em as well but its all up to you. I used to swap out from survey 1 and explore 1 that way I ran up hills and bit fast, and just swapped to survey when I needed to find resources.

i'm 4440 doc and working to get master TKA back after a stupid try at fencer.

I love it. With bivoli and a good droid i can buff like a master doc, heal anything that comes my way, and kick the crap out of a lot of stuff. The only thing i need from civilization is battle fatigue healing.

Maybe other templates can dish out damage better but NOBODY can tank like a doc/TKA and still have some very useful group skills.

For buffing you will want the following:

- Surgical Droid w/ Med Capability 110
- BE clothes +25 Wound Treatment
- Bivoli (Try and aim for 20 - 22 + )
- 89 Med use for 0/4/4/0 Doctors, 91 Med use packs for Master Doctor

But as said ^^ TKM + Self Buffs = Amazing Tank, you can soak up tons of damage, as well as being able to kill tons of stuff - but some things are untouchable to TKM's, high level NS's, etc.
