ok guys im a tkm.thats the only fighting prof i got.i also got doc.now i am able to learn novice fencer.someone told me that if i get master fencer, i would be alo better in combat.i really dont wann drop doc and i dont wanna drop tkm.do u guys think i should drop doc and go for fencer or do u guys think with a good set of armor,i can hold my ground pritty good.see the thing is,when pub 10 comes out,i wanna try the jedi quest thing and im thinking thay r gunna be hard.REAL HARD ! and if i get master fencer,my defense would be alot better and i would be able do be better when i need to fight something in the quest.cuz im sure whatever im gunna have to fight in the quest,is gunna be hard and if i get my defense up,i wont die as fast.but,if i keep doc i can heal me self and buff my self.thats y i dont know what to do right now.should i keep doc?or should i drop it and go for fencer?plz tell me what u guys think i should do !

I've Always felt the TK is the perfect balance between the Offensive Prof(Swordsmen) and the Defensive Prof(Fencor) It really is a matter of personal choice here. I am not 100% Sure but I think over all Fencor offers only a marginal improvement to your Defensive abilities in total.

Fencer will give you great Defenseive capabilities when coupled with TK, but the thing to think about is you still cannot heal yourself very well if you get in a tight spot. With Doctot, provided you keep your mind up, you should not go down in a PvE fight, and you just have to know how to use the template in PvP.

If you were really into grinding I would suggest you level master fencer and see if you like it.

It all depends what you want to do , pvp or pve. or both.

TKA is a great all around melee class, we have our issues like every other profession but its the most fun I have ever had reguardless...

The defenses you don't get as a TKM/Doc are more then made up for with your ability to heal yourself, cure ailments etc....

Thing I like best about TK is I have many option when hunting.. I can Where some nice Ubese 70% Kinetic armor, get buffed, and Drunk and go Solo Mokk/Jantas on dant for cash.. Or I can offer to play tank for a newbie hunt group playing more of a support role and do more state attacks and crowd control attacks. I am not into PvP my Ego is big enough without having a need to stroke it more lol

My Humble Master TK, Master Brawler, Master Medic, Scout 4010 makes for a nice PvE template. Uber? No, Fun? yes.. And I am ok with that

Remember:

1) Never Hunt sober.

2) Aim for the Balls.

3) Keep on punching/Shooting.

4) Better to clone, then to run..

Hey! you are welcome. To me that is the way I thought of those melee professions , just hadnt put that way before.

I wanted to do both PvP and PvE. I remain a master brawler, master fencer and master swords, in tka - I am 4304. I am going to likely pickup nov pikeman for my nightsister DOT weapons and that will finish my template - Im in no hurry to do so.

Not a day goes by that I dont consider dropping the master brawler and go TKM, MFencer, and MSwordsman. I really really liked being a TKM and have a TKM alt to give my my SWG kung fu fix!
