I always thought TK should have some kind of passive way to sense Jedi. I don't however believe that we should get a TEF on the jedi. Jedi TEF is the role of the BH and we cannot step on their toes.A passivesensing ability would be a useful tool that can be used to find those Jedi who tend to abuse force run in pvp.

I am not naming any specific technical details on this other than we shouldNOTget a TEF on them, the range should be limited, when the ability is used it spawns a temporary WP for the TK, and only masters get this ability. All other details are left for discussion.

Interesting idea Nanuu. One question though, would this not (in a way) step on Rangers' toes? After all, at tracking 4 they do get the ability to track Player Characters (which includes Jedi).

No offense, but I'd rather not have an ability that is that specificsimply combat obvious balance issues with a jedi skill. I'd much rather they focus on balancing combat first then look for expanding our roles in the GCW or Jedi system.

So, you have never felt the urge to charge and tackle a rifleman?

No offense taken Grim, this is a discussion.

Nanuu , after chasing a certain jedi we both love for about an hour in circles, I agree. I think we could perhaps target that jedi with a special and tackle the sucker or put him in some kind of martial arts lock - zap zowie.

You know, put on a inhuman burst of speed, close the distance ( like a cheetah ) , tackle Flash around the ankles and use the ensuing crash and disorientation to use "sticky hands" kung fu moves with our "steel hands" grip on Flash's wrist, manoevering that hold on his wrist to block his attempts to sever our hand/arm restraining him without cutting his own hand off.....

This is a short synopsis of my last encounter with the blur of pixels I am calling Flash...

...Flash rounded the corner , cackling with glee as he bore down on my ally, intent on finishing him off, I was running as fast as I could without bursting my lungs towards the disorientated wookiee, when **POW**, Flash came within range of Dragon crests the the moon lunge.

Already dizzied from my previous dalyrake severs the head dizzy strike, Flash went down and slid 40 metres along the sand, still trailing force energy( grr bug made him slide after I lunge2 smoked him....), by the time I closed the distance, Flash already shook the dancing gungans around his head away and propelled himself so fast, the sand stung my eyes.

I summoned my trusty swoop (was in city, so instant retrieval) and sped after him on a parallel course down another street, I saw him between the houses flashing by and planned to leap of my swoop at the next house after gainging more distance....I then heard the menacing hum ofhis sicklysith crimsondouble bladed saber homing in on my swoop with impossible speed and precision.

The twirling red death corrected its own course twice and I barely had time to close my eyes and think, "...hmmm bad idea ....." before the resulting explosion hurtled me 20 meters.

I lay there , unable to move for a few seconds, watchingbits of swoop rain from theTattooine skybefore remembering that I was in danger, moving my head just in time, the sand where I lay instants before was cauterized into glassy shards that were crushed as I resumed sprinting after Flash , following his cackling laughter....

**note the names have been changed to protect the exceptionally fast dark jedi I chased here.(not like he needs protection..../bow

...and I should also mention , that I have no problem with forcerun 3, the jedi who spent the points to get it, deserve it.

The fact loads of people slide 20-40m after KD is hella annoying, but most annoying with jedi

They should give TK and EMP device lol... diable LS and all stuff electronic for 30s (meant as a joke...for those who don't get it)

Well I guess that depends on how you look at it. Rangers aren't really ever used for that purpose. I doubt anyone ever goes through the trouble of getting all of master scout and tracking 4 JUST for that ability. They usually do Ranger with the intentions of doing some major creature harvesting. Also the toe stepping, if any, that you might be referring to is nothing compared to the BH toe stepping I was referring to.

I think giving TK this simple passive ability would really satisfy a lot of people's hunger for TK being the Jedi watchers they are supposed to be, while balancing the obviously abused Force Run 3, without stepping on the toes of bounty hunters...

I agree with you that force run is not abused by padawan. What you must understand is thatI am coming from a hardcore, large scale PVP perspective where force run 3 is extremely abused. Here is the difference: A padawan runs to get away.....far away......avoiding getting killed and losing XP. On the other hand a PVP jedi knight uses it to run away and recharge force and come back for more gankage. Or a Jedi force running and kiting you with saber throw. I don't see this as a nerf to jedi padawan as a padawan could just force run far enough, whip out a bike, and keep getting away.

Nanuu i like your idea how bout this varation instead of a wp your screen flashes white to let you know a jedi in the area say

200-300m or maybe a bit more and on your radar. The jedis dot will be colored some color that isnt used already

then you can then pursue the jedi.We dont attack or hunt thats a bh job i agree but we can flag them thats how we could re nsttiute (spelt right?)the TEF for jedi that the GCW people want them to have back lol but, how do we make it so that Tkm do not abuse it we can do this in a few ways a TKM can only dothis a set number of times a day or we make it so that the jedi has a metter in a way and when they use the force to a extent that that meter goes to the top we then get that flash then we can TEF them.

We need no way to sense the force of a Jedi.

All you have to do is open your eyes at Coronet.

There they stand waiting on the shuttle completely dressed in Jedi garb including the obvious lightsaber in their hand....without a fear in the world.
