All the developers have done is give sneaky remarks about cybernetics eventually being in the game in some form (check out the most recent Dev Chat with TH and JustG).

justG - we can too. Bottom line - keep your eyes open.
Only Jedi will have cybernetic limbs (Luke and Vader).

if jedi can only use the cyber arm then what the heck are they gonne do with the underslung machine gun or whatever it is huh?

I can name a Star Wars character with a cybernetic limb.
Arden Lyn, the original Teras Kasi Master.
So did Nym the Pirate (he still does, check him out on Lok).
Or... Maybe it's a hint about the second species in JtL?

People have recently seen a sith with the cyborg arm on testcenter, screenies have popped up on the Eclipse boards and other places but I don't have a link anymore. Multiple people have seen him so I guess they are real. Still nobutcher is getting my arms

yeh npc on TC have them, but then again npc have hooded robes too 
my charecter has been wearing grey comp on his arm for ages, i'm so glad they are implementing this, i really cant see it being a straight forward thing to have though or every tom **edit** and harry will be wearing them. i'm pretty sure (or at least hope) this will be some kind of quest item, maybe something to do with the warren would tie in well?(even though i hate that place)
also it comes in sections bicep,forearm,hand, either way i look forward to it.
