No wonder I always recover fully.

I used it for the first time tonight, after I had feigned to let my mind regenerate after a Muon downer kicked in mid-fight. I didn't think about using it until my mind was half-regenerated, but it did recover all of the way.

When you use force of will, one of the following happens:
- it fails and knocks you further into an incap
- nothing happens and it fails
- it barely recovers you
- it recovers you partially with side effects
- recovers you fully with side effects
- perfectly recovers you
It is kind of like crafting with failures, successes, etc
What happens is random however the faster you use it, the greater your chance of a good recovery.

it can also dump a ton of wounds and BF on you, depending on your roll. if you're powerboosted when the incap hits, and you FoW, your powerboost modifiers will generally be reduced (even on success).
of course, you may never get a chance to use it, since instant deathblows seem to be all the rage for NPC's.
and for your next question?: FoW can be used ONCE AN HOUR. after you try it (succeeding or failing), you have to wait another hour to try it again.
if that wasn't your next question... then the answer you're looking for is '17'. I'm almost SURE of it. if I've failed again, please consult your 'eyes of mesra'.
