With all the changes, I dont know where it stands anymore..

It is very fun mate.

It allows so many playstyles, that its crazy.

Suddenly your master at both an Ranged Elite proffesion and a Melee.

What you also got is a proffesion going under major overhouls, as well as other kinds of incomes than Fighting. Most notable Slicing, but also Spice through Moun Gold.

With the smuggler pistoleer tree you will get some good moves, but no new weapon certs or mods.

Low Blow and Last ditch are great!

You should try it on TC! With blue frogs you can make your own templates, get weps, armor, buffs, skills... And just test the templates you want and go crazy. You also get vehicles, mounts, money, resources and so on. Very nice way to test your skills.

Though mate, I would have to say from a personal perspective, with the Combat Balance coming up, we can not count on anything being "The best" Anymore.

The only rule for me right now; Just wanna have fun. I guss I will suck if I take up a proffesion like Carbineer or Pikeman(I wont go looking for Dots, mind you) I will suck, but at least im having fun, and a bit of faith in the devs abillity to put up a new fair Combat system and GCW revamp

Do you think smuggler's low blow is better than pistoleer's pistol melee defense2?

And how long is that delay after "last ditch" move?

I believe that Melee Defense 2 is broken, but Melee Defense 1 works fine.

Of course Low Blow is better. It's a ranged knockdown while Melee Defense is a close range knockdown.

I though it was a melee hit..

Not necessarily

Low blow has a much lower chance of a KD than Pistol Melee defense (at least in my experience)

If that's the case then it's a matter of opinion, but in my experience KD is KD. I'm a pistoleer, master brawler, and TKM so I have a variety of KD moves. They all seem to have an equal chance to KD someone.

I've never had Low Blow though, so maybe it does have a lower chance to work.

i was a smuggler 0440 for a while, and low blow does in fact have a lower chance to KD that the melee KDs, but man is it fun when it works.

also i LOVED fd in PvE, but you have to be careful because any mob you were fighting will agro you again right when you stand up. even if they are as far as 64m.

as far as a template with lots of room to have fun in the game, i believe that one goes a LONG way. the only thing i CANNOT stand is not being able to run up a hill...that can get old REALLY REALLY REALLY fast

The good thing is that you can heal as you lie there, so I'd wait until my HAM was filled before standing up.
