Really depends what situation you are in Dixos. Normally Composite as it can get higher stats (inc Kinetic) resistances than Ubese.
Then again you have Encumbrance to counter for, Ubese being lower.
End of the day.. Composite

Ooo.. edit button now! lol. Ehem! Anyways, seems I was just shy of being the first response but anyways. So yeah I agree with above post. My opinion is Comp with 80% kin with 60%+ or higher base composite.

my main character (gaarawarr) is a TKM, i often go without armor completely against most stuff. i only don armor for dathomir and, on occasion, the geo cave. this is with buffs of course, without buffs i always wear my chestplate and leggings but hardly ever wear the bracers as i believe they hurt more then help.
i know you're asking about comp/ubese but unarmored works best for me..... saves a ton on replacement armor too.

Its harder to find ubese armor with 70-80% kin but if you can find it then GET THAT because the encumbrances on ubese are lower than comp armor...so i would go with Composite unless i can find a ubese armor like that

Thx for the tips - I want to go grinding in places like the rancor valley and geo cave. Would 71% ubese be ok?

If you buy a whole set ube armor at 71% your should have no problem that I can se vs mobs.. the ham pool that mostly will become affected is still the mind, or at least that is what happens to me. Helath and action rarely decreases to a state where I have to run away.
And ube is cheaper. I wish I could use it, Im wookie so cant use it.

Me personally, i go with adv ubese with the 70's in kinetic. I only go with the jacket though. I don't use comp armor unless i'm going somewhere with high end mobs. The only prob with ubese is it does wear fast if it's cheap stuff.
Yes, that ubese should be fine for the rancor valley. Might want to use comp if you're going deep inside the geo cave.

Ya, if you are going in the caves, get comp, the mercs and geonosians can change weapons.
And klikniks shoot rockets.
