Thread: What am I doing wrong KD1

I disarm my VK and hit KD1, the mob I am fighting Gurk hits the ground. I then get my pet to attack and with 1 hit the mob is up again wailing on me. I tried this about 4 times last night and it happened everytime with different mobs.

Question is KD1 only for use in PvP ? I play with 2 computers and have a Doctor on the second one so the HAM cost (expect the mind part) is not a huge issue but if the mob will not stay down this is a waste.

I wish I had gone for Dizzy/Lunge combo now At least that might work better.

Cheers

By wailing on you, what do you mean? Actually hitting you? If so, that would be strange, sure the mob gets up pretty quickly but usually there's a 30 second delay before they actually do anything.

Gurks make lots of noises and postures but they don't ever actually hit youin that 30 sec period or do they?

Been covered many times before.

Take a look at your combat screen. The mob may have stood up quickly but it won't hit you at all for several seconds.

It's 15 seconds. Which is why the knockdown timer is going to hurt so much because you are vulnerable for 15 seconds after KD effects wear off. Also, KD has a tendancy to stack right now, so if you decide to test what I'm saying here for yourself make sure they are able to attack before you knock them down, then time how long before they hit you again after the KD.

They're doing a proper job of nerfing KD, the delay before they can attack you is being lowered to 5 secs.

30 seconds? What kinda KD are you useing and where can I get me one!

Try 10 second delay after KD wilst the enemy is stuned. and 10 second is pushing it

KD is borked sometimes, your not the only one this happens to. Hell if your an IMP, you know exactly what I mean, go use knockdown on a Rebel Medic, his ass gets up in 4 seconds, and starts sprinting accross the **edit** map... With this new KD timer they are planning to implement, I'll be kited all day by rebels because i cant keep them on the ground, or in one place.

It's actually 11-13 seconds, but i take VN off after 10 and get my KD down ever 11-12 seconds. But when im fighting a Tusken warlord or something that high, I actually like to /lunge + Dizzy, or suppression fire twice and Dizzy. Tuskens are weak vs dizzy and often fall easy.

Anything else such as a Dune lizard or Bantha just ( unarm VN ) KD+(ArmVN) Just hit them without a combo for 10 seconds+ then just repeat untill it's dead, i like to sometimes wait till they are a bit low and hit with the /unarmecombat2 cuz on some things such as a humanoid i can do up to 4.5k if i hit them when they are prone(Or knocked down) but you have to do it fast unless they are down because of Dizzy.

I think if they are going to make the timer 30 seconds in the next patch then the thing you are knocking down should STAY down for 15 seconds.... no getting back up right away. !5 seconds of pure knockdown for the mob, all on the ground, then it gets up after 15 seconds and gets to wail away on us for 15 seconds. The timer is gonna kill us, at least give us time to get the hell outta there.

Apologies for the 30 second mistake above, no idea where my brain was at the time.

I've just tested it, it's exactly 15 seconds after you knock a mob down until he starts hitting you. I tried it several times with timestamps on and it's 15 everytime.
