Thread: Melee damge and the AT-ST
Just started a thread on the Dev boards discussing the fact I believe melee classes should be able to bleed AT-STs, or add some sort of melee bonus damage to them.

It is my opinion that it will give us tanksa more diverse role in PvP.
Its a heavily armour plated vehicle for gods sake. They don't bleed and you certainly dont run up to a tank and headbutt it.
Leave it to the Commandos if and when they get fixed.
However, many of us are concerned with PvP.
I don't think that melee damage should really hurt armored vehicles, but the fact remains that they're absurdly over powered and need to be nuke-nerfed.
I disagree. As stated by the devs, commandos are going to be leading the charge vs armored vehicles, that is THEIR role in PvP.The tank role for melee characters should be vs. NPC's and Creatures in close quarters combat. There is no reason why we should be given a bonus to fighting AT-ST's, AT-AT's, or any other armored vehicle.

A TKA should be the one going after the owner of the AT-STs, however impossible the DEVs are making it at the moment.
TKAs shouldn't be able to do much anything against a large hunk of metal.
Now Vibro Knuckles should allow us a bit more damage against AT-STs, Structures, Really Bug stuff that needs demolition. But should not be effective at PVP type combat, being very slow and cumbersome.
"A TKA should be the one going after the owner of the AT-STs, however impossible the DEVs are making it at the moment."
Whether Defence skills are working at the moment, remains to be seen. Still haven't received a response as to whether they are or not. But I whole heartedly agree with this statement. 7/10 times I can bring an owner of an at-st down before it kills me, through either it missing me, or being able to heal what it hits me for...unless it hits mymind =*o(
As someone else said above, do you really think running up and headbutting a tank is going to do much?
This is a commando roll, let those jarheads bust their skulls open =P

No very dumb idea. Most of us are not concerned with pvp.
ahh...correction....mechines do bleed...duh....hydraulic fluid, and probably more important, cooling fluids...you have to have some pretty heavy duty cooling on the engine of those things and also it is very important to to have a cooling device in the weapons...you wouldent want the barrels of your at-st to melt would you?
