Don't quit because of ranged fighters. Ranged fighters have their limitations too. The most important thing to do in this game, whether you're ranged or close combat, is work with a team. The only way to be a true solo killer in this game is by becoming master rifleman. But then again they can only fight in conditions perfect to them, ie sitting on a hill on the North side of Bestine and waiting for one or maybe two Imps to show up.

It seems most people on the board for TKA are upset that they are easily controlled by ranged fighters. Unfortunately this is true, but there's a caveat: Your power as TKA goes way, way up if you have a ranged fighter on your team. Since every class by itself has particular weaknesses and there's no infinite leveling I think teamplay is integral to the game.

If you have a ranged guy on your team the ranged guy can use suppression fire to drop your target to its knees. Once the TK gets his hands, paws or claws on a ranged guy it's over.

So if you are fighting ranged guys make sure you have a good ranged guy to back you up. The results are dramatic. It's just like teamplay in modern warfare between tanks and infantry. You can't roll tanks into a city without infantry to keep the tanks from being hamstrung, and you can't send infantry into a town because they are unarmored. Basically the ranged guy should support the TK in close-combat.

Believe me, there's no worse feeling in the world as a ranged guy than to be dropped to your knees when there's a TK breathing down your neck. Not that it's happened to me yet in a battle, just in duels

Also, having a TK on your team is great for PVE. Three or four hits and ANY lair in the game is gone. Not to mention the TK's are complete tanks.I only played TK novice, now I'm almost master pistoleer. But I'm never sorry to seea TK on my team and fear themabove any other player. Even with one or two more ranged guys TK's are at least 5 times as they are soloing. Soloing, anynovice marksmanwith exploration 4 cankite you down, but if he's suppressed even once it's going to be a very badfight for him.
