Thread: R.I.P Nyms camps...
I agree, it was far to easy to become a master.
The devs are just trying to bring to this game the one thing it horribly lacks is social interaction. By nerfing the easy solo spawns they are not out to screw everyone and ruin their fun, they are out to bring about more grouping and inter-class dependancy. By making the game more difficult for some, it adds extra purpose to more classes.
It took me 3 weeks to get from Buying the game to 1/4/4/(2 or 3 cant remember) TKA
Then when KD nerf hit it took me 2 weeks to get the rest. Kinda sad actually
QUITTERS!!
Do not get me wrong, everytime i killed a Nym as his buddie scattered i did always think, "geez, some friends you are"
Really the problem all starts with the devs, they knew in Beta that the game was way to easy. Holo has even said it's easier for them to start the game out to hard and lighten it up than the reverse, but i guess he forgot his philosophy.
I wasn't posting this to whine or anything, i was doing it as a warning for you guys that didn't know this since they were kind enough to leave this little detail out of the patch notes. And i do still feel bad for anyone still working there way up. Grinding is not my idea of fun, but if it floats your boat, more power to you.
Okay, I didn't even try to kill a Nym until last night and I didn't even do that because I was aggro'd by the droideka's. . .so pathetic old me is stuck at 0 1 2 1 for awhile (probably going to try to wipe out the giant worrts from Tatooine) because I didn't rush to grind levels. So besides me missing out on any sort of good exp, I'm irked by the fact that we see NPC's with 8K HAMs while PC's are always stuck with 1K HAMs. . .
I just don't get how they need to bump up the HAMs of NPCs to huge levels to balance them out. . .why can't they just have normal HAMs like us and give them actual skills and good weapons to defend themselves?
I'm starting to hate this game now. . .

I thought Lok was much more fun after the patch!
But I would have liked to know about the faction first.
I feel really, really, really bad for everyone not a Master or **edit** close to it right now. As of now, Nym pirates will assist and agro you if you attack anyone. I tried to single pull like Nitchs to no effect.
Also Droideka's are red dots now and agro from about 25-30m and are still hella mean.
I only have 5k combat xp to master, but those that are starting out. I have no kind words, no special tips... just a swell of pity for you and that maybe you should look into a ranged class, because it's going to be months.
That's very discouraging. I hope the devs make some good changes to TKA soon so the grind is made a bit more livable.
But that probably won't happen either i guess <sigh>
Thanks for the tip tho
Well, I almost think it's better now. I dont think we should have master 3 months out. I dont care how much you play.
I dont know, I'm just disgusted with the whole thing.
Right now, I am having difficulty soloing even level 25 missions(faction or normal), the only type that will payout a decent amount for me. Anymore than one white attacker means death to me. Most of the level 25 missions have upwards of 3 guarding the mission. Why do I need a group(or several pets) to do missions that are technically designed for me? Who knows
One day we will all be forced to either solo creatures at exactly our levels for crappy xp, or group up to gain slightly less crappy xp. I feel bad for those that are following in the current masters footprints.
i like how so many ppl here thinks it's a good thing they nerfed nyms and they like the hard road to TKA master, good luck to you guys. for the rest of us that wanted fun instead of even longer xp treadmill, this is bad news indeed. lok missions are currently still solo-able, (take that, devs) but you will need a certain combination of skills from different classes to pull it off.
now my question is, was nyms possible with ranged classes before the patch? i know for sure CH and Pistoleer could solo them with ease, what about other elite/hybrid range classes?
