Thread: TKA, why?
I`m thinking about going TKA, but I don`t know why....
So tell me what made you decide to take up this skill, try sell it to me, make me WANT to take this profession.
I`ve heard alot of good things about TKA, but I`ve also heard alot of bad from 1 or 2 people so I`m looking for a bigger response this time.
Tell me the good and the bad.
Also somebody pls tell me what the meditation tier is good for, I see the get up while incapped skill, sounds good, but heard it doesnt work as often as you would like, whats the other "power boost?" I think its called, good for?
Also any tips on which skills to take first once I reach novice, would be much appreciated.
I know this does not anwser your questions but I would advise you to not to waste your timewithTeras Kasibecause its getting nerfed once again. It seems thatTeras Kasireally was not part of SOEs plan for Star Wars and the nerf after nerf of the Teras Kasi profession only seems to prove the point that SOE hopes we players of the Teras Kasi profession will give upon Teras Kasi and start another profession (perhaps something with guns).
If your brave enough to have a go at trying to master an elite fighting profession that was suppose to put fear in Jedi only to be nerfed into an elite fighting profession that can not even put fear into dark blue cons then all I can say is god speed to you and your jouney into the realm of Teras Kasi becauseif all you want is to see cool redish orange colors come from your fists then Teras Kasi is place to be.

*sigh* yet another dissatisfied customer...but as with ALL MMORPGS...star wars is no different in this respect. It's unfortunate, but some will always be wishing for complete balance between all classes, but more often than not, they want the class they play to be the most powerful on all respects. The fact is, most people I know truly envy the power of Tera Kasi, they just don't have the patience to work through the unarmed aspect. I would also like to add this lil tid bit...you knew this was star wars, you knew guns were going to be a huge part of the game...so why are so many people suprised that they get shot up when they play a melee class? I chose TKA quite simply for the challenge, and the fact I love wailing on someone at the speed of light...I KNOW a rifleman is probably going to drop me in 2 seconds if I'm not ready for it...but it would be pretty silly to deflect shots with our hands...we aren't Jedi, we're Jet Li...You worked hard for your profession, so be proud of it...and take joy knowing that those pistoleers are trembling in their boots at the thought they may never see us coming...because trust me, they are.
wow, i just got it so i havent been currupted by all this 'IVE BEEN NERFED, i should be able to kill people using better tactics than me by reaching them 60m away! or at *least* gimme immortality again"
i just got this class two days ago, and i LOVE it. why?
1) all that time it took to get here doing **edit** for damage has finally passed, i attack like every second for a good average 250 each hit
2) i dont EXPECT to be able to solo 15k monsters without being hit....call me crazy, but that just doesnt seem right.
3) meditation is a cooler way to sit, reguardless of not being very usefull most of the time at low levels
4) i know this may get me millions of flames but....i like the fact that tka can be beaten by a gun, if forces you to use tactics
first of all, dont go around openly delcared with the TKA title and no other combat skills and expect to win, its just stupid, contrary to what many believe, this IS NOT a main PVP class, its simply one that does lots of damage (although i would like to see more melee vs melee pvp, its just not gonna happen i think)
i love this class, but i would not recomend it without at least a little bit of other combat skills, cus some of the stronger NPC characters with guns will kite a little bit too, and the main thing you have to do is see that ahead of time, and plan for it.
