I went to an interesting site the other day and I got a slightly different twist to the common "TKAs keep Jedi in check" belief.

This kind of follows the video games story and might not be considered cannon but I think that it adds a new light to TKA. It seems that all in all TKA were both good and bad and neutral and it depended on who it was. Darth Maul and Arden are examples of evil TKA. And Arden in paticular appears to have been at odds with Jedi, Jedi Hunters, Rebel and Imperial Alike. I found it funny that she slaughtered a high level jedi master (and was killed and brought back later) but a non-jedi imperial almost killed her also and chose not to.

I the path we walk on of a "A Jedi Hunter" or is it a warrior of an ancient system of combat traveling the galaxy seeking peace, fame, vengence, etc. I personally think that the later defines TKA alot better than a non-bh hunter of Jedi. Whats your take?

BH Hunt Jedi, not TKA.
TKA watches over, and monitors the use of Jedi power.

Therefore TKM =/= Jedi Hunter, so I agree with the latter.

Canon, not cannon. And nothing about TK is canon, since canon is only the movies themselves and everything associated with the movies, and TK is not a part of any of the movies. However, the Playstation game is certainly Expanded Universe material and part of continuity, since Lucasarts themselves were involved in making it.

Actually, the sources who claim that the TKAs are either Jedi hunters or Jedi watchers aren't even EU, so the concept of us being assassins-for-hire is more legitimate since it occurs in an official source.

Still, there's precious little official info on TK in official sources so the devs can make up what they want really.

Can't we just be hand to hand martial artists? Heck pikemen will have better credentials for hunting Jedi after Episode III comes out. Hunting Jedi wasn't assigned strictly to BH according to canon storyline but in SWG they are the only ones with the ability to do so.

Again, I'll point out - there's a difference between being a practitioner of Teras Kasi and being a member of the Teras Kasi Order.

I dont wanna be a troll or anything, but why does everyone want teras kasi to be such a special? EU? I mean just cuz we have a meditation tree and a title that says "Monk" we are supposed to be an assasin or "watcher?" We are an Elite Combat profession, just like fencer, swordsman, pikeman (lol TH says there a "hybrid" profession), pistoleer, carbineer and rifleman. In all honesty we don't deserve any more then them

i agree with master_gunfighter cos TKM is great and the longer that can go on without SOE touching it andmessing it up,the better
